I just hate it and anyone who really knows me would never do that to me. I hate the attention to myself and it would embarrass me to no end.
I wish to have it over with as soon as it starts. If it’s a private party then that’s different, but strangers??? ugh.
Hate. Hate. I think this was done to me once. I would never do it to someone else.
I have to agree with the previous 3 posters. I’m not a fan and usually turn red as a tomato
I really do not like it either. I silently smile with a red face, and am glad when it is over. Luckily my husband never starts these things. Mist time it are friends or colleagues who do this!
I look at it as payment for a free desert. So I’m okay with it.
Wow! I see it’s 50 degrees there!! Hey break out the shorts and tank tops!!!! lol
I get red, but I dont mind anymore ๐
There’s this restaurant I think is cool. Montana’s. When its your birthday, they make you stand on a chair, put on a HUGE cowboy hat.The whole restaurant sees you as all the staff sings Happy Bithday to you ๐ I think one year before I can’t climb up on a chair, I would LOVE to do it. I took my daughter there when she turned 15. She wanted to do it. She did. She was great about it. But when they started to sing, she got as red as a beet ๐
I think it’s only happened once, and I am not a fan of it. Everyone looks at you!!!! I’m not okay with that! I’d appreciate the thought though…and for sure the dessert! ๐
I feel like crawling under the table and can’t wait for the singing to stop it usually seems like it is a slow motion experience. Free dessert in nice I like dessert. ;+) I just had a Birthday and luckily no party no singing just a very quiet Birthday just the way I like it.
