IF, I use a brush, I prefer a very soft one.

  2. LVISS says:

I WOULD PREFER A FINER ONE . ENOUGH FOR THE FEW HAIRS I HAVE . WHY BRUSH THEM OUT WITH THICKER BRISTLES. THEY ARE LIVING ON BORROWED TIME. I COMB THEM CAREFULLY WITH A COMB .

  3. Ellen says:

I prefer the second from the right.

  4. Laura says:

Mine has metal (I think) bristles with little teeny balls at the ends, and they’re set into a padded base, so they give if pressed. It’s called a “paddle brush”, but it’s really good at getting rid of tangles from my long hair in a non-painful way. I tend to avoid combs like the plague.

Having four daughters I have noticed that the girls with thicker hair much preferr the hard bristled brush. Since I have somewhat thinner hair (in every way) I prefer a soft bristled brush.

However, I have decided to grow out my mustache and I NEED a fine hard toothed comb for that.

I have long and thick hair and absolutely prefer the paddle brush described by Laura above.

  7. Nikki says:

Fine bristle brush, if I use one. I usually use a pick though.

  8. Karen Joy says:

I dont even own a brush..only use a pick as my hair is so naturaly curly/fuzzy.

    • Nikki says:

Mine too Karen! A pick is the only thing that works without frizzing it out worse than it already is! Do you use a special product, I’ve been on the hunt most my life. I’d give anything for nice, smooth hair that I can just let down!

      • Karen Joy says:

Well, having been a hairstylist for 20 years I about tried everything!I stick to my old favorite shampoo-Biolage Hydrating and their light conditioner and I must use mousse to hold the curl shape but the product I love is BIOSILK’S SILK THEREPY.My hair looks dry and is very dry and that conditions and gives shine, tames the frizzies.Use it on your curls or when/if you flatiron it.I never staighten mine anymore, too drying. Its alot to keep culrs looking nice too.SILK helps. Its great for your skin too…use only a drop.

  9. Laura says:

I’m told that the best brush, all the way around is a “natural boar-hair bristle” brush. To the tune of $100 and up.

Nope, thanks. I’ll stick with my aluminum Goody, thanks. (or maybe this one is Conair… either way, it cost me less than ten bucks!)

  10. Sue says:

I’ve used a pick ever since I got my hair permed way back in 6th grade! It hasn’t been permed for ages, but I never gave up my pick.
