Question of the day from mssc

Yes, I do pray. I try and pray every night before I go to bed for the events of the day and for the events of tomorrow. It helps calm my mind and reflect on the day.
I also pray each night when I get into bed. I also pray during the day usually for the safety concerns of my loved ones. I also “talk” to God a lot about a lot of things of unimportance.
VERY VERY RARELY.
I “discuss” things a lot with God. Sometimes “discuss” leans more toward “venting” or “railing-at”, and other times, it really is a discussion – trying to work out a solution to a problem.
At night, when I let Cruise out for the last time of the day, I stand on my balcony and look up at the night sky. That’s when I say my evening ‘prayer’ – I talk to God, give thanks for the day, remember friends and loved ones, and request guidance through this quagmire of a life. (yeah, it’s a bit confusing at the moment. It’s a good thing God is forgiving…)
No, I don’t.
I “pray”. I most times asked for the safety of my love ones, and thank for all the things I am grateful for. This I do several times a day, just short moments of inside talks with God.
No, I don’t
I do, but not on any particular schedule. When something strikes me as awesome, I thank God for it. When my ass is saved from a dumb mistake, I thank God. Sometimes when I’m nervous or disappointed in myself or confused, I ask God for guidance / protection. I used to have a running dialogue with God much of the time, but that isn’t so much the case nowadays.
Oh, and I also pray for others, when they are in trouble or hurting or just asking for everyday blessings.
I pray morning and evening and then anytime during the day when I feel like I need God’s help (protection, guidance, etc.).
I would say I pray when the mood strikes. Which is fairly often, I pray for the health of friends and family or when someones having a tough time. Including for myself.;+)
I try to start out each day with some “alone time” with God. Nothing too formal except that I try to follow the example of the Lords Prayer (praise, thanks, etc.)
I rarely pray for anyTHING but mostly for family and friends. On days where I feel like I need to spend more time I pray specifically for situations that I am aware of in individuals lives. Although I don’t try to talk God out of whatever lesson they may be learning at the moment; just that the lesson is learned quickly and it sticks… this time.
When I do pray for myself it is normally for wisdom, guidance, strength of mind and body – that sort of thing. However, I do occassionally pray for work.
Throughout my day when I feel prompted I pray. These prayers are usually for someone or something I have just witnessed or become aware (ie a customer’s child on drugs/alcohol, etc.). Heck I have even prayed with some of my customers.
Typically at night I tuck the kids in bed and pray with them too.
I figure that God needs us to partner with Him through prayer. Otherwise He could just go around willy-nilly and do whatever He wants.
Plus, I like to see when my prayers are answered. It’s pretty cool. Except when the answer isn’t what I expected… the way I expected it. But then there’s always a lesson in there for me too. 😉
