No I don’t. I have had one pedi in my life but there’s no way I’d do that unless I couldn’t do it myself for some reason. I get ingrown toenails and have to preform “surgery” on my toes all the time. I’d rather do them myself than have anyone else get that up close and personal.

Fingernails??? I don’t have any. They are thin and weak and don’t grow.

No. I’ve never had a pedicure and only one manicure for my wedding. I couldn’t wait to get those nails off!

I wouldn’t mind getting them.. but it seems like a waste of money to me. I would never get the fake nails put on…. that just seems too much of a hastle and I’ve heard it ruins your nails

I have had a few, more as a social thing than anything else. My sister would take me for a spa day and we’d do it together, chatting along the way. I don’t mind them, but since I don’t wear nail polish or any of that, it really doesn’t seem to be worth paying for it – especially the amounts they charge. Now if they would do something therapeutic like a foot massage or really get rid of some of the evidence of my age, I might feel differently. But mostly it’s a lot of bells and whistles and not much substance.

No… but I do sit down to pee sometimes. 🙂

I recently had a massage/facial/mani/pedi, given to me as a gift.

I would recommend the massage to anyone, without reservation. I’d be in there daily, if I could.

I wouldn’t recommend the facial, unless you are VERY specific about your skin conditions, and what you want out of it. I have a slight touch of rosacea, and when I came out of there, my face was on fire. It hurt, and it was seriously red. I didn’t know, going in, that my skin was that sensitive. I won’t make the same mistake twice.

The manicure, I’d recommend for most people. I’ve been told, believe it or not, that my nails are “too healthy”… so the beautiful paint that’s been put on, peels off within a day or two. I’ve tried everything, and it still peels off. Still, the hand massage was relaxing, and my nails looked great – even without the polish.

I’d also recommend the pedicure. I also have ticklish feet, and a good pedicurist (?) knows that, and applies just the right amount of pressure, so you’re not tickled, but get a really nice massage. The color on my toes lasted a good long time, and i really enjoyed it. It was called “Pompeii Purple” – it was loud and pink and awesome.

I was also squeamish about having my feet handled, because, you know… “eew, feet!” … but you start the whole process by soaking your feet for ten minutes in a whirlpool bath. they’re squeaky clean when they start working on you.

I would, overall, recommend going with friends. I went alone, and while it was nice, it was also kind of lonely. There was a party of girls there when I went, and they welcomed me in, so I ended up having a good time anyway.

Ive had many pedicures.Manicures I dont get done. For a short time I wore gel nails but I didnt like the maintenance, every 3 to 4 weeks.Pedicures I had to get done for a few years because of a needed hip replacement that didnt allow me to be able to do my nails.I really dont find it relaxing ect. I have little patience and just want it over in a hurry!Im like you too Joy in that I have ingrown nails and they ALWAYS cut them too short and then Id have a problem. One nice thing about getting a pedicure is they can rid me of the dry cracked heals better than I can myself.

  8. I used to get regular pedis, but not in this economy. 😦

I used to get gel nails put on, and that became too expensive and time consuming. They look so nice though! They are terrible for your nails though.

I have had one mani/pedi. I could do without ever getting a manicure again, but the pedicure was awesome! Mainly because of the chairs you sit in, and the hot tub you soak your feet in. I do love my feet rubbed too! I’ll take a pedi any day!

Never had a pedicure. I did get my nails done a couple of times several years back. Looking down at my nails. ;+/ A pedicure I bet would be nice. Maybe now I’m not sure as I’m thinking about it Hmmm.
