I “try” not to buy chips anymore and I haven’t for a LONG time. I do like the Lay’s cheddar and sour cream but there’s nothing like Old Dutch. Canada has the best flavors of chips. The bbq, salt and vinegar and “all dressed” are WONDERFUL. I wish I’d never asked this question. I WANT SOME CANADIAN OLD DUTCH CHIPS!!!

Old Dutch? The ones in the black bag? We have those here… lots of flavors, too. Can you not get them in MN?

Most recently I was buying Guiltless Gourmet Mucho Nacho baked tortilla chips. I used to buy them every grocery trip, but I stopped a few weeks ago. They just don’t seem to be right for me any more. Nowadays I’m sticking with Blue Diamond smokehouse flavored almond nut-thins. I buy several boxes with the idea that I’ll pig out for the first half of the week and then be good for the rest of the week. Ha!

I buy the Lay’s baked tortilla scoops because they are low fat and work perfectly to scoop up salsa. What I actually really love is Cape Cod Potato chips. They are really good.

I’ve never really been a ‘sit and eat chips’ kinda girl, so I usually buy what everyone else around here wants. But, if I AM buying them for me, I’ll go for Classic Lays.

Otherwise, it’s the Ridged Lays, ’cause they’re better for dipping.

And occasionally – maybe twice a year or so, I’ll grab a tube of plain old Pringles.

I like Sun Chips. We don’t buy chips though, unless we’re having a get together. I do enjoy tortilla chips and salsa, I just get the generic kind though. I’m not a big chip eater.

    • Nikki says:

Oh I just remembered…Doritos makes a new flavor chip. Cheeseburger, and let me tell ya it tastes just like a Burger King cheeseburger. I don’t know how they do it! We bought them one night for poker night. Those are addicting and are NO longer allowed in this house!

      • Joy says:

They sound delicious. I love chips but do treat myself to them every now and then. Not very often though. I wanna try these.

      • Laura says:

Oh, I had those new “Tacos at Midnight” Doritos. Damn near ate the entire bag and made myself SICK!!! I’ve NEVER eaten that many in one sitting. Those things are evil…

Thanks for the warning about the cheeseburger ones, Nikki… I’ll be sure to stay FAR AWAY!!

I don’t usually buy chips for at home but if I’m at subway I might get Doritos. Yummm My neighbor likes a vinaigrette ruffles? I really like those and would buy them, maybe. Actually now that I think about we do get tortilla chips for salsa.

Chips are the one “bad” food I actually don’t like 🙂

Sun chips, or Lays Sour Cream ‘n Onion.

I much prefer the Kettle Cooked chips. The flavor I like best is something like Hawian Sweet Onion or something like that. They are hard to find. I usually get the mesquite bbq.

    • mssc54 says:

Okay I just got back from the grocery store (8:30 a.m.). I went to get me a ribeye for breakfast but opted for brats instead.

I found my FAVORITE CHIPS!! I’m so excited it’s crazy.

      • Joy says:

I’ve never heard of them. They sound really good. Are they thick chips like our kettle chips? Are Hawaiian onions sweet?? These sound delish.
