    Oh, most definitely, SING!!

  8. Joy says:

Living with someone deaf, I shout a lot as it is so singing would be a nice change.

    singing…. if I shouted I’d lose my voice within 10 minutes….

I don’t know, I think both would get old rather quickly. I do tend to be louder, my husband is deaf in one ear, and my oldest sister is 90% deaf without her hearing aids, and not that much better with them. I think I’ll go with shouting. I do not want to have to sing everything I want to say. I would just keep my distance with the person I am talking (shouting) to.

    Hi Joy
I used to be a fairly decent singer, but since I had my neck torn apart and restructured, the old vocal box isn’t the same. I do miss it actually. I think I mentioned I am originally from Kentucky. Well, I carried my accent around for a very long time as I moved all over the US. It definitely got stronger when I was employed in the South for extended periods of time. A Speech Pathologist I worked with once told me she knew I was from somewhere in the South because I had a nice “sing-song” quality to my speech cadence, which made me feed good.

But being realistic, these days I feel like the only time Robert and my sons listen to me is when I’m shouting! And it scares some of my critters when I holler, so I try not to do so. But there are those times…

I’ll miss your blogging when I’m with my friends next week, but when I get back I’m going to learn how to download photos, so I can share the ones I took of the moon for Starla’s site and some other ones that I would like to share with you. I’m looking forward to seeing yours too! Take care, hope life treats you well over the next couple of weeks.
