Just one very mild fender bender when I was about 10. I also slid into a car once when I hit a patch of ice in a parking lot but nobody was in the car. I went in the library and found the person who owned the car and we exchanged info.

I think I was 16 at the time and I rear ended my friend’s truck. I was following them and a person in front of my friend’s truck was turning left so my friend was going to go around them and then decided to cut back in front of me and slam on the breaks. So I ended up hitting him. Didn’t report it or anything, did a lot of damage to the hood of my car and nothing to his truck.

Where do I start….. I think that I have been in 4 and none of them reported. The first one I was in was similar to Jenny’s but the guy I was behind I didn’t know. When I got out the guy came over to me in a hurry and I thought he was going to be mad but he wanted to tell me that he was driving without a liscense. I told him that I could make it to the gas station down the road. There were some other ones that I had that were in my own driveway… You know who you are… sorry!!!

Yes. Oh, you want details? OK. My first car accident was in January when I was 17 and trying to drive home from a really stressful day (my first day of student teaching of 3 gym classes). I still don’t know how it happened. Somehow I just didn’t see the other car coming and I ran into it. They were really nice about it because they had an old junky car. However, my mom was not pleased with that first dent on her new Chevette. Ugh.

I rear-ended another car on my way to my first accounting exam, a few years later. I arrived late but got 100% on the test. The guy I hit was an accountant too, and he made a claim that ended up being quite a bit of $. Strange, since I didn’t actually see any damage on his car or mine. Maybe a little dent.

A similar thing happened shortly after I started a new job. Stressed out again, and this time I had not slept the night before. I just reacted too slowly because another car was coming dangerously close on my right side. So I bumped this old junker and, wouldn’t you know, the guy was well known in the insurance world as a professional “victim.” He called in the claim, said he wasn’t sure what car he was driving, said he had a wounded passenger but didn’t remember the guy’s name . . . seriously. I ended up with a surcharge on my insurance. Oh yeah, then there was the time I was hit by a jackknifing semi – totaled that car, but it wasn’t my fault that time. I was rear-ended a couple of times. One time it was a car full of really old people and they looked so nervous, I had to be really nice because I was afraid someone would have a heart attack. That’s about all I can remember off hand . . . .

I’ve been in the ditch on wintery days, but never got hurt or anything. I’ve had one fender bender. I stopped at Target to pick up some things after visiting my girlfriend in the hospital who just had a baby. I was in my husband’s truck and the thing doesn’t turn worth a hoot so as I’m trying to back out of the spot, I was all worried about hitting the cart corral that I didn’t even see the car parked next to the cart corral! I hit it enough to dent the hood and scratch the paint. The car belonged to a Target employee so we exchanged info and I didn’t go to Target for like a year!

A few, I was in the back seat of a rolled VW I remember everything being in slow motion and seeing the sparks outside of the window. The second was someone backing up two wheels off the cliff. We all piled out if the other two wheels went it would have been cutains. The thrird I was driving off the icey road and down a ditch into the brush. I think thats it to this day I am not a big fan of riding in the back seat I avoid it at all coast and back up in a car when someone eles is driving freaks me out a little. :+) Hopefully that will be it thats plenty for me.

I have been in a ditch during a snow blizzard, on the day Jason and I got married. I was in a mild one in high school, on a dirt back road of Montana, hit a part that was wash board and went off the road. No one was hurt. That’s it, thankfully!
