I’m going with one that I’ve hated for a lot of years and it WON’T go away. The low pants on the guys showing the boxers. I HATE THAT.

  2. Jenny says:

Cars with loud music…such as bass!! I hate that when you pull up to a stop light and all you hear is bass. I guess I’m sick of seeing the peace sign or rock & roll sign in people’s pictures. And the duck face 😉

  3. Laura says:

I’ve got a list a mile long, but I think the thing that prompted this question was Reality TV. I’m so sick of “reality” tv, and the way that it’s pushed any kind of intelligent programming off of the airwaves, that I don’t watch TV anymore. At all.

  4. mssc54 says:

DISCO!! But baby it was a blast while it lasted! Lol

  5. SKL says:

Stretch jeans, professional pant suits that require 3″ heels (yeah, so comfortable), fake red hair, low-riders, body/face piercings, thick black makeup anywhere on the face, hair in the eyes, boy hair that looks like girl hair, girl hair that looks like boy hair, short shorts, short skirts, low necklines, PDA, posting gushingly adoring comments on the blog of someone you have never met, needlessly pointing out how awesome your “friends of color” and gay friends are, “autism” diagnoses, silly bands, neighborhood street fairs, etc., etc., . . . . am I showing my crotchety age???

  6. Just a Mom says:

Right now it’s those stupid shaped rubber bands!! I am so sick of finding them all over my house!

  7. Nikki says:

Fads, I can’t stand the low jeans on guys. And I can’t stand the ripped jeans on girls. I saw a girl at the ball field, and from the back it looked like she had a full pair of jeans on, then she turned around and I swear to you, it looked like she was wearing shorts. The whole front of the jeans were ripped off! I have jeans with small rips, or holes, but they are small!

  8. SKL says:

I kinda like the holey jeans fad because right now my favorite jeans are looking pretty holey. Granted, they are at least 10 years old, but as long as holey is in style, they’re still good.

But seriously, I don’t mind holes if you’re just bumming around, but no way would I pay for holey jeans! How idiotic is that?

    • Laura says:

My friend was looking at a pair of jeans, coveting them mightily, and I nearly went through the roof… yep, she was thinking of spending $70 on a pair of jeans that were shredded. Completely and utterly shredded. Man, I missed my calling in life, because when it comes to doing-in a pair of jeans, baby, I’m tops!! I coulda been a millionaire

      • Sue says:

Laura, if you think $70 is a lot for a pair of jeans, you don’t want to know how much I’ve spent on a pair! NOT that I was happy about it, but when you have a 36″-37″ inseam you gotta take what you can get!

        • Laura says:

Yeah, I know… I’m a cheapskate!! Honestly, I don’t have a problem spending $70 on jeans… if they’re INTACT. But $70 for jeans that are all shredded? Not a chance.

  9. Laura says:

And yeah… I’m over nearly everything involved in the picture-taking arena – the gang signs, the victory fingers, the duckface, The Arm, posting billions of pictures of yourself on your FB page (yeah, I have a few of me, but honestly… some people literally have thousands).

Pants on the ground – the habit, not the song. The whole “Jersey Girls” thing. The wearing of clothing two sizes too small so your stuff hangs out, when you’ve got enough stuff that you should at LEAST be wearing your own size, if not a size or two larger…

  10. Laura says:

Oh, yeah… one other “fad” that I’m over:

Anything “Green”. It’s one thing to be environmentally responsible, and another to do most of the ridiculous “green” things that are politically correct, like those stupid curly light bulbs.

    • Joy says:

I hate those light bulbs. I’ve got a huge stock on hand so when they quit making the regular ones I won’t be stuck just having those. I HATE them.
