I’m sure I’ll be back many times. Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Julia Roberts. Sean Penn ( I think is the most underrated actor in Hollywood but does have big mouth), Jack Nicholson, Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood.

    • joanharvest says:

My sister refuses to watch anything Sean Penn is in because of his big mouth. I’ll watch anyone of they are good.

      • SKL says:

Yeah, not that I watch movies much, but I won’t support him because he hits women. The big mouth doesn’t help, either.

        • Karen Joy says:

What about Julia Roberts big mouth?I LOVE her but anytime we see her my husband HAS to comment how how big her mouth is.I dont care how big their mouths are, they are good actors!Just weird it bothers him.

    • Joy says:

I kind of fell in love with Sean Penn slowly over time as his acting just got better and better. I loved him in I am Sam and then I loved him in Dead Man Walking. Then when I saw him in Mystic River and I couldn’t believe his passion. I thought hew as wonderful in that movie.

Personally I think he’s an ass but I think he’s a wonderful actor.

  2. Jenny says:

I’m a big fan of Russell Crowe. As for actresses I am not sure… just pick any of the really hot ones 🙂

  3. Jenny says:

I enjoy Jason Statham, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Mark Walberg, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt…hmm I’m having a hard time thinking of anymore!

  4. SKL says:

To watch, I like Russell Crowe, though it has been at least 15 years since I saw him in a movie. (Yeah, I don’t get out much.) Also Tom Hanks (with same disclaimer).

Women – I don’t know – I usually like Sandra Bullock but she tends to have goofy roles. Angelina Jolie bugs me somehow – I think she hs good acting skills, but physically she just seems too fake.

I wish the media wasn’t so full of crap about these people. It’s hard to maintain a lofty image of someone when you are constantly hearing catty stuff about what she said or failed to say or did or failed to do or what ideas she has that aren’t in line with the feminazis. And of course it’s all distorted so you don’t know what to believe.

I have a soft spot for Suri Cruise and her parents. Mainly because everyone loves to hate them. That little girl is so darn cute, yet grown people are always hating on her for stupid reasons. So her parents have a different view on some things – big deal. When it’s a Muslim “community center,” a “different view” is all cool and stuff, but when it’s scientology or whatever, they need to be exterminated.

  5. Laura says:

Harrison Ford is one of my biggies… I can’t think of anything he’s been in that I don’t like. Tom Hanks, Gary Sinise (“Lt. Dan” in Forrest Gump, also “Mac Taylor” in CSI:NY). Couple of British guys – Alan Rickman (“Snape” from Harry Potter), Richard Armitage (and not just because he’s “hot”).

Ladies – Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston. Dame Judy Dench.

I’ll probably think of a few more before the day is out.

  6. Ellen says:

Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks and Mat Damon are great actors. I like Hugh Grant in some movies (love Actually) and Liam Neelson is very cute 🙂 Will Smith and Tom Cruise. For actresses I like Sandra Bullock. I am probably rhe only one who doesn’t like Merel Streep . Indeed, Alan Rickman is a great actor. I love him playing the angry, annoyed personage.

    • SKL says:

I’ve never been impressed with Meryl Streep either. I did like Hugh Grant in some chick flicks I saw long ago. But I think it was more of a cuteness thing than an acting thing.

    • Laura says:

OH!!! I *just* saw “Love Actually” over the weekend… SUCH a cute movie! I did like Hugh Grant in that one – usually I don’t like him, he’s made too much of his “perpetually surprised” persona. But in that movie, it really worked.

I’m also discovering that Colin Firth is a “sleeper” with me – I never really thought about him, but in the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen him in two or three movies, and I’m really liking him.

  7. Laura says:

Oh… surprisingly enough, I like Jim Carey, too. He and Steve Martin have grown on me as they’ve taken roles that rely less on physical comedy and more on actual acting. Or in movies that require a combination of the two – like “Bruce Almighty” or “Father of the Bride”. Movies where they can use their physical/slapstick talents, but where the movie doesn’t hinge on them (like “dumb & dumber”)

    • Joy says:

You don’t like Dumb and Dumber?? Surprisingly, it really makes me laugh. I normally don’t like movies like that but that one….I don’t know why but it does make me laugh.

  8. mssc54 says:

I’m going to have to go with CLINT EASTWOOD!

I saw a joke about Mel Gibson on the net.

“Mel Gibson crashed his car into the side of a hill in Malibu today. He was swerving to run over a family of Mexicans.”

  9. Karen Joy says:

Ive loved Sam Elliott since I was young, think its his voice.Havent seen him in anything for a very long time.Others are,Robin Williams,Dennis Quaid,Hugh Grant,Mel Gibson,Harrison Ford,Sandra Bullock.Julia Roberts,Kathy Baits,..Im sure there are so many more but my mind went blank!
I watched the movie Awakenings this weekend with Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro. It’s an old one but did it ever effect me watching it this time. What great acting in it too on Robert’s part.True story and so sad!

  10. Sue says:

I like Matt Damon, Harrison Ford, Sean Conary, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DeCaprio, Jim Cary, Johnny Depp. I can picture the actress’ but I can’t think of their names!

  11. Nikki says:

Actresses; Kate Beckinsale, Rachel McAdams, Ellen Burstyn, Betty White (they crack me up) Sandra Bullock. Can't think of any other actresses I like.
