This is amazing, we just spoke about this subject during breakfast! I have no recurring dreams lately. I did have it when I was a child, I felt down a stairs and then when I would hit the floor, I woke up. I hated that dream. My husband has a recurring and unusual dream. He is in a city, where he never has been in his real life! By now, because he dreamed this dream that often, he feels pretty familiar in that city. Isn’t that strange?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Oh Laura, you make me laugh! I think everyone has heard about my dreams. Here’s a reminder…Nightmare on My Street…how do I link that mum?

  3. SKL says:

Recurring: I have dreamed of flying a lot (like I have the power to fly just by positioning my body just so, and we all do, but we somehow don’t realize this . . ..) Also dreams about saving people (often again with flying involved).

Unusual? Not sure – aren’t all dreams unusual?

I love those dreams where you discover a new place or a new set of passageways, etc. in a familiar place. When I was a kid, I sometimes dreamed of finding a secret passageway to a cool place where I could go in the night, when nobody was there to police things. Like at the mall or amusement park. Of course the prude in me would be all, “look but don’t touch,” while the uninhibited me would be all, “what the heck, just make sure we cover our tracks!”

[Speaking of “what the heck,” my daughters have started using this. (Is that bad? They seem to think it is.) It’s funny because sometimes Miss A will mix it all up: “What kind of heck is that?”]

I have alot of thoughts before sleep and dreams of bad stuff happening to my family. Some are bad enough that I have to take a minute to realize they didn’t really happen. Maybe it is my constant worrying that has been passed to me from my dad’s side that causes this, I don’t know.

I don’t have any weird dreams…but Jason sure does! I sleep right next to him so I know what goes on. He likes to swear alot in his sleep. He also flops & jumps around and mumbles stuff. There were also times that he would wake up in the middle of the night and start getting dressed for work. When it was like 2 am! I would have to say “Babe, it’s not time for work yet! Get back in bed!” I wonder what really goes on in that head of his…lol

Lemme just say this to Jason “everybody was kung fu fighting” LOL
I think Jason was a china man in a past life.

I have had a recurring flying dream..In my dream I just hold my arms out and i fly around dodging high line wires, I never get too high. sometimes i need to stop and rest cause i start losing height before i can take off again.(weird i know) lol

  6. Laura says:

I had a recurring dream a couple times when I was younger – like in junior high and high school. It was a weird kind of premonition… the dream had nothing to do at all with what was going on in my real life. I would dream that an RV would drive to an empty field near my house. This field was next to a canyon. Neither exist where they did in my dream – there are no canyons near my childhood home. The RV would park there for a while, and then drive off. Completely unforgettable, right? But I’d ALWAYS remember it, and then a few days later – within the week – my brother would break up with the girl he was dating. He wasn’t a “serial dater”, but it happened more than once.

Also, when we first moved into this house, I had a lot of anxiety, and had some wicked dreams – once I dreamed that the Grim Reaper was standing over me, and another time, that dark spirits were coming out of the ground to grab my body. During that time, I had a lot of vivid dreams, which I ended up interpreting through a website – it was very helpful in alleviating my anxiety attacks.

  7. Nikki says:

I had a reoccurring nightmare from a very young age, until my son was born, then it stopped. My step dad was chasing me, always the same place, same people, standing there not helping me. He never caught me. I also had a dream about being stuck inside a house that was burning on the outside, floating down the road (like a float in a parade.) I had that several times, but it wasn’t an on going dream for years like the other one.

I can honestly say I don’t remember hardly any of my dreams. Only once in a while. I prefer not to dream, especially those all nighters. I wake up feeling as if I didn’t even sleep.

I have two actually and neither of them are particularly scary. Just odd. One I’m up in the Ridgeville area. None of you who’ve never been there will know what I’m talking about but there are those of you who will know what I mean. I’m somewhere between Tolstoi and Ridgeville on one of the mile roads. It could be the 5 mile and I’m looking for Audra’s old house on the edge of the Ville there. I can’t find it and all I can see are those Ukrainian churches everywhere. You know, all those old domed top ones?? Like these. http://www.google.com/images?q=ukrainian+churches&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=j5l6TJTNKdT-nAeLiPz3AQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCYQsAQwAA&biw=1280&bih=683 I have no idea what it means but I have it quite often and wake up feeling weird, confused and very lost.

Then I have one that we’re in Bud and Dorothy’s old house but it’s not really the house they lived in. It’s almost like a houseboat but it’s huge and very nice. It has like a boat in the front but all these rooms off the back. Like little houses or cabins combined. For some reason Paul and I are moving in. They are his aunt and uncle and they’ve both been dead for years so I have no idea where that comes from. This dream, I hate to wake up because the house is so beautiful.
