cut into wide strips, deep fried, then smothered in cheddar/mozz cheese and bacon bits with a side of ranch dressing.

I think I gained two pounds just writing that.

  2. SKL says:

Hmm, I really like potatoes almost any way. I try to avoid the more greasy options, but I still like them. So, hmmm. Potato skins? Fried potatoes (with onions)? Tater tots? Au gratin? Aloo gobi? I even like baked and mashed and potato salad. Can’t hardly think of a way I don’t like potates.

    • Laura says:

What on God’s Green Earth is Aloo Gobi???????

      • SKL says:

In Hindi, aloo = potato and gobi = cauliflower. Aloo gobi is a combination of boiled potatoes, cauliflower, tomato, onions, spices, and oil. Mixed with basmati rice, it’s so good. (If it’s not “too” spicy.)

        • Laura says:

Hmmm, that might be good. I’m not a big fan of cauliflower, but that mixture might cover the taste enough that I’d enjoy it.

          • SKL says:

It’s a popular vegetarian food item – a lot of Indians are vegetarians. Just be careful about the spice. Usually Indian veg recipes add too much spice for the mainstream US palate.

    • Joy says:

I’m a big fan of cauliflower and I’ve heard of a lot of people who boil it up with potatoes and mashing them right in. This sounds really good to me.

  3. Jenny says:

baked potato with sour cream, butter, cheese, salt & pepper…yum! I also love the deep fried american fries with cheese sauce.

  4. Jason says:

If it’s a baked potato I normally just add Italian dressing to it. Anything else is either malt vinegar or ketchup.

  5. lucy says:

Mhhhmmmmm french fries…. with lots of ketchup 🙂

  6. starlaschat says:

    Garlic cheese mashed potato. Yummy.

  7. mssc54 says:

I can’t decide on a favorite way. I don’t thing there is a bad way to eat a potato. I may come back later. Maybe (don’t hold me to it). 😉

  8. Sue says:

I don’t know if I have a ‘favorite’ way. It all depends what I’m in the mood for!

  9. Joy says:

I’m like a lot of you. I love potatoes almost every single way. For me it boils (get it!!) to what I’m eating with them. I love a good ol’baked if I’m having steak. Mashed go with roasts or pretty much any baked meat. I love au gratin’s and I love my scalloped with ham or pork tenderloin.

    I love potatoes.

  10. Jenny says:

I thought of something else for mine too… mashed potatoes and I put garden vegetable cream cheese in it…so yummy!

  11. Nikki says:

I LOVE potatoes!!! We have them often. Fried with Spicy Ranch, bacon bits, cheese, and Tabasco. Baked…with the same toppings. But I think my favorite way to eat them is baked, with chili (no bean) shredded cheese, and jalapeños!!! Mmm now I want one!

Where I grew up (for the most part) we have this little place called The Creamery, and they have/had giant baked potatoes and all the toppings you can think of. I loved that place! They had good ice cream too!

  12. kweenmama says:

    Baked…with tons of sour cream!

  13. Just a Mom says:

What’s your favorite way to eat a potato? Hmm… I usually like to use a fork. Sorry I couldn’t resist!
