If you could talk to young children about any subject, what would you choose to talk about?

    Nature. Out in the woods. It’s such a kick to open up that world for them – from life inside a dead log, to finding out what lives in a pond besides fish and frogs, to taking them out at night to see the stars, listen to owls, and try to decide the color of the crayon you just gave them.

    This is hard because you wouldn’t want to come across as “preachy” but there’s such a bullying problem. I’d like to have something to do with trying to fix that.

    And not to smoke. That goes without saying.

    This is a tough one because I think my answer could change every day. I think it’s important to communicate to kids that they were put here on earth to do important work. They must explore their strengths in order to figure out what they were meant to do, and work hard to develop skills and keep healthy in body, mind, and soul so that whatever their calling, they can pursue it in a meaningful way.
