Green, white & brown Just ate a ceaser salad

  2. SKL says:

Let’s see. Brown (coffee); whitish (noodles); yellow (butter); green (spinach); red (tomatoes); tan (chicken); purplish (grapes).

I think what inspired this was a salad I make sometimes. Green & purple leaves, apple and orange slices, carrots, and whatever other fresh fruits & veggies are available on a given day. I should do that every day, but I don’t.

That photo reminds me of something I discovered at the organic food store. The “blood orange.” Looks innocent enough, until you open it up to eat it. The orange juice really looks like blood. Tastes good, but there’s something about biting into something that seems to be squirting blood. Ick.

Those are my favorite oranges, the blood orange. About 5 years ago, a friend and I went on a one week diet of fruit. We went to the store and bought every piece of fruit you could imagine…and the blood orange was one that I just fell in love with!

Btw, that one week diet lasted about 3 days!

Well we had pizza, so whitish (crust and cheese), red (sauce), brown (pepperoni) and I had a piece of a chocolate bar Bailey got me at the store (he’s a good boy.)

Nikki, where did you find blood oranges at. I have wanted to try them but I don’t know where a person would find them.

      • Nikki says:

Lund’s in Plymouth! I can’t find them in Buffalo. Well, I haven’t looked for awhile but I never could before. Now I want one! Jason drives by there I could have him go in and get us all some! 🙂

Dinner: orange (carrots), white/beige (chicken), white/yellow ( mash Potatoes), White/creamy (chicken gravy).

I just (for breakfast) ate a bowl of left over chicken, okra and sausage gumbo. No left over rice so I used left over spaghetti noodles. So that would be various shades of brown, pink, green and tan. And I am stuffed!

  7. Laura says:

Having leftover chicken teryaki for breakfast, and everything is covered in sauce, so these colors are tinged with brown: white/chicken, orange/carrots, gold-ish/onions, tan/mushrooms, green/peas, yellow/corn.

  8. Sue says:

I’m going with dinner last night. There was orange (sweet potato strings and carrots) green (zucchini, peas, and green beans) brown(prime rib strips) white/cream (chicken, noodles, pork) red (tomatoes, tomato sauce) and purple onions. It was very yummy 🙂
