This year we put our tree up a week ago last Sunday. Only because we had company and we celebrated Christmas with them. Otherwise its usually the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Usually the Friday after Thanksgiving but we didn’t do that this year. We finished our outside first since we knew a cold snap was coming. I’ll get it up this week one day. Today I worked on all the inside lights. I love the glow.
Usually the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was put up last night b/c Toby brought it up from the basement otherwise it’d still be there!
Oh, it’s not decorated yet!
The day after Thanksgiving, and it was decorated immediately. lol I’m impatient/excited when it comes to things like that.
Me too.
Usually around Dec 13th, which was my mom’s birthday and it’s 12 days before Christmas.
I will put mine up this week sometime or if im lazy this weekend for sure. 🙂
I don’t know, we just kept ours up for years. This is the first year since having kids that we’ll have to actually put up the tree. I was shooting for last Sunday, but it didn’t happen. Maybe this Sunday. And then I don’t think it’s coming down again for a very long time.
Traditionally, my family has always waited until about a week before Christmas, because we’ve always had a live tree. But since we have a fake (ptooee!!), Steve likes putting it up earlier and earlier, so I guess we’ll put it up this weekend.
We have a live tree, and it lasts the entire month. I have to give it water every day though. Not one needle has fallen, and that is very rare!
We usually put up the tree when my Mrs. gets out of school for the Christmas break. Sometimes on a weekend before that.
December 1st.Though I was going to do it today because Im stuck in the house anyhow because of a storm BUT my hubby rushed off to drive my sister to an apt. because of the bad roads…so I wont be hauling it up from the basement myself…suppose it will end up being dec. 1st anyhow.
We usually aim for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
I’ve always put mine up around Dec. 14th, cause that just seems to work for me. Not too soon, not too late. When I was a kid and we had a real tree we would put it up on the weekend before Christmas, with the weekend before that spent with the family riding around (my dad’s cars never had heat), singing carols and hitting 5-10 tree lots looking for the perfect tree. I have great memories of those times. My tree usually stays up til mid-January, cause I really like looking at the lights. Although one year it stayed up A LOT longer. (Sometime in Feb. LOL)
