Question of the day from mssc

How many sets of sheets do you have for your bed? What is the thread count?

Mssc’s response: We just bought new sheets for our CA King and you would think they have gold thread!!

We have multiple sets for the kids double beds. However we only have one set for the CA King and the thread count is 750.

  2. Joy says:

I think ours are 600. I LOVE the Chris Madden sheets from JC. Penny and I will only buy them on sale. I’ve spoiled myself now and won’t use any other sheets. I have one old pair for an emergency, like if we’re sick or something and one new pair. When I do get a new pair I put the other away and throw the other old pair out.

I’m like Joy, I only use one set but I keep one old set for emergencies. I have flannel sheets that I bought a long time ago. I have no idea where from, how much (except they were on sale), and I certainly don’t know (or care) about the thread count.

I think I have 3 sets for our king bed, but only use 1 b/c like Joy said, they are the sh*t! I have the same sheets and they really are the cats meow!

  5. Jenny says:

We have 2 sets…I think lol. Don’t know what the thread count is

  6. Laura says:

I have three or four sets (thinking… dk blue, tan, green… yeah, three), and I think they’re something like 500 count. I don’t know. They’re called “sateen”, I think, and I found them at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They were totally soft as soon as I took them out of the package. They didn’t need washing to soften them up! I remember sheets when I was a kid – my mom and I BOTH hated it, because we’d take them out and they’d feel like cardboard.

Unfortunately, I think BB&B has discontinued the line of sheets, so I’m going to have to go hunting for new ones. Maybe I’ll try Joy’s Christ Madden ones…

    • Laura says:

CHRIS Madden. Man, I must be more Elfed-out than I thought!!

    • Joy says:

You’ll love em. You have to get them on sale though. They’re half price then and they’re still a lot. I pay almost $80 for queen.

      Chris Madden sheets.

      • Laura says:

Yeah, that’s the only thing I hate about having a king-sized bed. It’s so bloody expensive to dress it!! I’m constantly watching for sales. Fortunately, I’m not desperate for sheets, ’cause $80 for $180 sheets is an awesome sale! But I’m going to wait until after Christmas. My credit cards are already screaming from the torture.

  7. Nikki says:

Well we had nice sheets. Joy had gotten us some for Christmas one year. Then we went and got a bigger bed, so now all we have are flannel sheets. We have 3 sets. I hate spending that much money on sheets, as much as I know it’s worth it. I’m just a cheapskate!

  8. Jenny says:

    Vicki on J’s computer…

I have two sets for our King, thread count from 600-800 but i’m not totally happy with them. I used to have a set that i totally loved they were so soft and for the lfe of me i don’t remember where i got them from nor could i find them any where. I may have to check out joy’s brand from Penneys.. Those darn sheets are expensive!!!
