Question of the day

We lock our house at night and cars only when we go places. Not at our house though
We lock our house at night, but not when we leave. I lock my truck when I go into a store like Walmart, or somewhere I’ll be gone for a longer period of time. Gas station, no.
I always lock my car. It’s a habit from living in a big city and I’m not going to work on breaking that habit. As for my house, the doors are usually locked except if someone is hanging around outside (e.g., went out for a quick walk or yoga or the kids are playing out back). I will leave the door unlocked when I go to pick up the kids, even if I’ll be gone a couple hours. But then, sometimes someone sees it unlocked and locks it.
My parents never used to lock their house / cars when I lived with them in a rural village. But when they opened a store attached to the house, they needed to lock it then. Someone still tried to break in. Not sure whether the cat scared them away or what.
We lock our house when we are inside and when we are going to places.
Our house is always locked. As far as the car, the only time I don’t lock it is at gas stations. But if there’s something in the car that I think someone might steal I lock it even at gas stations.
