I don’t see many movies at the theater but the last time was almost a year ago with Nikki and Sue. The Last Song by Nickolas Sparks. Well, the book was.

  2. SKL says:

Slumdog Millionaire. It’s been a while.

  3. Sue says:

The last movie we saw was Tangled. It was pretty good.

I don’t even remember it’s been sooooo long!!

  5. Jenny says:

    Daddy Day Camp

  6. Nikki says:

I think it was, “How to Train a Dragon” in 3D, which was a great movie!

  7. Ellen says:

    True Grit. A great movie!

  8. Laura says:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Saw it on opening day (NOT the midnight showing), and it only cost me $5!! I heart small towns!!

I saw the A Team in the theater in Oelwein…that was the smallest theater I have ever been in! And it was super cheap! 🙂 Actually, that may have been the last one, not the dragon one.

btw, how did you do that heart?!

      • Laura says:

I haven’t been to the theatre in Oelwein, but ours is only a two screen place. It’s small, but new and clean and awesome. All of our shows, all the time, are $5, and a popcorn/soda package is $5 total. They put the theatre in, i don’t know, three years ago? And it’s just going gangbusters! Goes to show that if you know your audience, you don’t have to charge exorbitant fees for movies, and still stay in business.

Only problem with it is, when I go to a movie in Chicago with my brother… I’m complaining from the minute we get to the door because their matinee prices are like $8!!! And then they have a “bargain combo” of popcorn/soda for like $14! It’s absolutely highway robbery, and yet, people pay the prices. And with my big mouth, I’ve gotten some pretty nasty looks from other patrons…

    • Joy says:

Yes, that heart is so cool.

      • Laura says:

To insert the heart, I submitted my comment, then clicked “edit” when it came up. Then I went hunting online for a heart emoticon, opened it as a .jpg in its own page. THEN, I went back to my “edit comment” page, took out the word “heart” and hit the ‘img’ button (which stands for insert image), and put in the address of the site where the little heart emoticon .jpg is located.

It used to be easier, before wordpress “updated” some of their features. I used to be able to just upload a pic from the hard drive. Now you have to use the http address.

      • Joy says:

That’s a lot of dang work.

I last saw Danny Boyles latest 127hours at the movies, it’s only just come out in Ireland but it was well worth waiting for! I highly recommend this astonishing film! 🙂
