A Demonstration of Class

I love this.  Most of the time, I’m irked during the National Anthem at professional sports events.  The crowd is so rowdy, they’re yelling and screaming so much that, unless it’s a full-out marching band, you can’t hear the song.  This time, it was different.

This is the performance of 8-year-old Elizabeth Hughes, at a Norfolk (VA) Admirals game.  Watch what happens when her mike gives out.  I get all verklemt every time…

Elizabeth has been invited back for an encore performance on Feb. 5.  I hope she brings the house down.

I started to tear up and got chills when the crowd started in. How cool.

Fantastic! 😀 What a great voice this young lady has! I’m so please the audience joined in to help finish the song! The fact that she didn’t even seem fazed, but continued to sing shows great presence of mind! 🙂
