Would you rather have to live on 1/10 of the electricity you presently use OR have to live on 10 gallons of water per day (for all purposes)?

I’d rather live with less electricity. I use a lot of water.

Well, if it was just a short amount of time (say, a couple of days, or even a week), I think I’d choose going with less water. Especially if it was winter, and we needed electricity to keep the house warm.

But if it were a long-term thing, I guess I’d go with less electricity, because in the long run, you’d find ways to adapt and keep warm, cook, etc., but you can’t go with less water in the long haul.

  3. Jenny says:

    I pick water

  4. SKL says:

I don’t think 10 gallons is enough water for me if I have a choice. (Obviously if I HAD to I’d get by.) Electricity, I don’t use much anyway. If you cut it by 90%, I’m going to have to step away from the computer for most of the day, and go to bed when the sun goes down. Which does not sound all that bad.

  5. Vicki says:

electricity for sure. 10 gallons of water isnt much at all.. my bathtub alone holds 90 gallons, I heat with water.

  6. Nikki says:

less electricity, I don’t use much anyway. I do a lot of laundry and a lot of dishes, plus showers. I wouldn’t want to not be able to do all that.
