What’s your take?

I saw this last week but the topic doesn’t seem to be dying down. Here’s the video that brought it to my attention.

What’s your take on it?

I don’t see this as anything less than human trafficing. “Selling” CHILDREN to prison for financial gain!!!!

Joy, you really need to start thinking outside the box.

As for this story – I could not listen to the Talk stuff, but I was actually surprised there were about 5 minutes of discussion about this. I think it’s pretty darn clear. The man deserves prime real estate in Hell.

And I really hope his children are terribly disappointed in him right now, and tell him so.

I have a whole slew of names I’d love to call him. Disgusting doesn’t even come close to what I really think. I hope he is haunted every night when he closes his eyes, and knows what a waste of a human being he is when he awakes.

As much as I agree with Nikki and with… was it Sara that said it?… that this guy should hear that woman’s anguish every night when he goes to bed, he won’t. Because he’s a narcissist who doesn’t see anything wrong with what he did. He doesn’t care about those kids, he doesn’t care about their families, he only cares about himself and the money that he’s getting for sending these kids up the river.

Having said that, what the heck is the justice system doing, sending him home to await sentencing? Why doesn’t HE have to be slapped into shackles, not get to say goodbye to his family, and get carted off to General Population to become Bubba’s Bitch of the Week?

I agree with what each of you has written thus far! This guy should be locked up IMMEDIATELY! What a terrible waste of young lives, and he is totally responsible. I cannot imagine the anguish this mother must be feeling. Kids as young as 10 in juvie for very minor offenses? 6 months for a teenager for drug paraphernalia, no drugs minds you. Not a gangbanger type, but a good student and athlete, who had never been in trouble Preposterous! One more example of the many things that MUST change.
Why does one man have the power to make a decision like this? Why isn’t there one of the ever so popular “committees” to oversee the sentences in cases like these, and WHY wasn’t anyone paying attention to the statistics in this jerks courtroom? This jerk should lose EVERYTHING he has and be made to pay toward the future expenses of the lives he has ruined! Talk about a gross miscarriage of justice! 😦
