Hmmm…. I think it would be reasonable to take your fiance/e into account when you have your “last hurrah” party. It seems a little childish for a person to set groundrules, though, for another grown adult’s party.

  2. Jenny says:

Depends on the friends and your future spouse…. Are they super crazy? Then I would say no to the stripclub!!

  3. Nikki says:

I wouldn’t say “rules” but if they have any concerns about what may go on, they should talk about it. But it really comes down to trust and respect.

What does having a “pre-marriage” party really say?

  5. SKL says:

I don’t know, I never understood the whole bachelor / bachelorette party thing in the first place. Then again, I’m not married, so maybe it’s best not to ask me.

  6. Joy says:

I’m not a fan of these parties and I hate strippers so there you go.

    • Nikki says:

I’ve obviously only been to bachelorette parties but I’ve never been to one that became inappropriate. More or less just going out and having a good time. Now the mens parties, I have no idea. Jason never had one, so I guess I can’t say how I felt about him having one. He has been to one, and I did hear about it. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. Not all bachelor parties have strippers though. And I agree, I see nothing entertaining about strippers. I have a few girlfriends that are all about seeing men strip…no thank you!

      • Sue says:

I was NOT thrilled with Toby’s and it was Jason’s idea, but it’s not like Toby said no! We girls (at least the ones I’ve been to) are more about having fun with their friends than seeing strippers or getting crazy wild.

Honestly, I was all bent out of shape that I wasn’t allowed to go to Steve’s… my brother took his family! They all got together and went to a Cubs game. And then Steve’s buddies took him to a bar afterward… I believe it turned out to be a gay bar, where Steve was hit on by a very nice gentleman….. he still hasn’t lived that one down.

So, yeah, I really didn’t care that they had a bachelor party for him!!
