I just have fillings, nothing more major than that. How many? I’m not sure, but not many!

  2. Jenny says:

Only 1 cavity so far (knock on wood) Just recently had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out… man did that ever suck!!

  3. Laura says:

Had a retainer when I was in high school for my crooked bottom teeth. Boy was THAT a failure! I was a flute player, so I’d constantly be popping that thing out. I never wore it. And then I’d realize that I had an ortho appt coming up in a couple days, so I’d wear it day and night – just long enough to make my teeth hurt like crazy. I’d go see the Dr., he’d poke around in my teeth, FILE THEM a bit (shudder), then gripe at me for not wearing the retainer enough. He said that if he had to do it again, he’d put me in braces. My teeth are still crooked.

That was the biggest Toothy thing… had my wisdom teeth out in HS, bunch of fillings. Otherwise, nothing else exciting.

No, just some cavities filled. I had braces when I was younger. I have pretty healthy teeth, but I do need my wisdom teeth pulled. I have 2 bottom ones that are impacted. I need them out, so I can get a retainer on my bottom teeth again. They aren’t as straight as they used to be.

I have never, EVER had a tooth pulled. It scares me and it won’t matter what you say to me, it won’t make me feel better about it. I know they need to come out. I have an incredibly small mouth, it doesn’t open very wide at all. Small mouth, lots of teeth equals crooked teeth! The dentist always teases me because he has to use the children’s tools on me. lol

    • Laura says:

when you get your teeth pulled, you get to eat lots of soft stuff for a day or so… like chocolate pudding and ice cream. That’s gotta count for something!

      • Jenny says:

        and hopefully no dry sockets!!!

      • Nikki says:

That doesn’t help one bit, I’ve told been told that countless times. LOL When I had my braces put on, they wanted to pull teeth then and I freaked out! Needless to say, it didn’t happen!

Yes, Jenny that scares me too!

        • Jenny says:

After going through all that pain and stress, my mouth feels sooooo much better having them done!! It’s all worth it. My teeth don’t feel crammed anymore

  5. SKL says:

Well. I used to have healthy teeth. I got my first cavity at 16 – just after I lost my last baby tooth. (Yes, I lost my last baby tooth while a senior in HS.) I didn’t have many cavities up until I was about 40. Then I went for a cleaning / exam and they said I had about 7 cavities to be filled! WTH? I have not been back to the dentist but I really need to make an appointment. I sure hope they were wrong about 7 cavities!

I never had any other kind of work done. I do have pretty crooked teeth – especially the bottom – but my parents had no money for braces, so I learned to live with it. My wisdom teeth never came in. I know they were in the Xrays (all crooked) when I was in my 20s, but they have not bothered me so I am leaving well enough alone. I sure hope they don’t decide to bother me someday.

  6. Phyllis says:

Not yet, but I sure need some when the finances straighten out a bit.

  7. Ellen says:

A lot! Lots of cavities, new crowns, bridges.

  8. Joy says:

I have an enormous amount of dental work done and an ENORMOUS of money has been spent.
