I think the on screen couples are pretty dead on.
I loved The Way We Were. I also really liked Sweet Home Alabama and LOVE LOVE LOVE Bridges of Madison County.
I have never once watched Dirty Dancing and I know someone recommended The Princess Bride but I didn’t make it past 2o minutes. I didn’t care for it at all.
I’m sure I’ll be back.
OMG Joy!! Never watched Dirty Dancing??!! What’s wrong with you!? LOL
Snort. How can you NOT like Princess Bride??? And you’ve never seen Dirty Dancing?
I feel like I don’t even know you!!!
I’m so sorry. You want to hear something else?? Toby reamed me out last night. I’ve NEVER seen even ONE Indiana Jones movie!! *running now an ducking*
I’ve never seen half of those. I would not agree with all of them.
I like spooky romances like Jane Eyre. I also liked the Scarlet Pimpernel. There are probably many other that don’t come to mind right now. I really like the classics where a look tells so much; you feel what they are feeling without having to see what amounts to soft porn.
I’m trying to think of ones that aren’t on here and can’t. I’ll keep pondering that though! The Notebook is both mine and Jason’s all time favorite love story. I cry every single time I watch it. I thought The Time Travelers Wife was a beautiful story too.
For Best Chick Flick- I would say I loved 10 Things I Hate About You. Has Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger in it
I really don’t know which I’d vote for as best Chick Flick, or Romantic Couple. I didn’t see Titanic (it’s a personal thing… I swore I’d never see it. long story), and I’m not really into the old ones, like Gone With The Wind, although I’ve seen and liked, many.
I liked Dirty Dancing, as much for the actual dancing as the romance. Pretty Woman was fun and funny, but I don’t think I’d vote for it as “best” in either category.
This is a toughie…
That is so funny. I have never seen Titanic either, and refuse to!
Me too!!
YAAAY!!! I’m not the only one!!!
Well now I’ll say I feel like I don’t even know you!! I LOVE THAT MOVIE. I saw it in the theater and watch it a few times a year.
That’s funny about the Titanic! I saw it and it was OK, but not “wow, the greatest ever” like it was hyped up to be. As my dad said, they made it about two immature brats. The music was nice, though.
