Question of the day

No. Not really.
No not really here too.
Well the only time I can recall is last November when we had our family pictures taken. But in my defense, I look much more handsom with a fake smie than a real plain face… for pictures that is.
of course not!!
Usually only after the third of many photos taken from my wife. Anyone who has been out with us knows what i’m talking about…
I do! I fake smile on those sometimes! Shhhh, don’t tell!
It should say, I fake smile on those sometimes too! More coffee please!
LOL!!!
LOL Jason.YES, we’ve all seen the photo’s Jenny takes but I like looking at them.
Not much. Once in a while I feel like I should, because I have kind of a cold face naturally. It can be scary for someone who needs a confidence boost or wants to see if I’m enthusiastic about our business.
Oh hell yeah!
Yup,Ive learned to do it when I’m sick. Ive been ill so much the last few years that I’m sure people are sick of me. So it’s often when we go to my hubby’s family for a get together or out in public and I’ll say the usual..”well, I’ll plaster on my phony smile and suck it up”Its a line I use alot.People think Im mad other wise if I walk around “looking” like I actually feel. And I think it takes the pressure off them thinking they have to always feel sorry for the sick person again.
Yes, I feel like every time I have to smile for a picture it is fake. I may be happy, but it’s still a forced smile, unless you catch me in the act. I smile all the time, sometimes it’s out of habit, and I don’t even realize it!
I will usually put on a slight closed-mouth smile when someone wants to take my picture. I may be happy as a lark, but I’m still self-conscious and I feel too weird faking a “big” smile. A little smile seems closer to genuine, LOL. Obviously I don’t want to be in every picture looking like “I hate everyone.”
And I too have friends who think that when we’re on an “outing,” there should be numerous photos of everything (with people in them) to prove we were there. Gets old REALLY fast. I would rather be actually checking out / enjoying the place we are taking all those photos of. Or resting my sore feet, or getting out of the beating sun.
Yeah, unfortunately, I fake smile a lot. When I’m stressed, I tend to scowl, because I’m thinking of everything that must be done. So I consciously paste a smile on my face, much like Karen Joy, because others don’t need to deal with my crap.
Fortunately, y’all are my friends, so I don’t have to fake anything, here!!
I do that too. I can have the worst day EVER, walk into batting practice and smile and chat with all the other parents. They’d never know I had a horse shit day unless I told them. Like you said, no one else needs to deal with my crap.
Daily 🙂
