Do you think tattooing a child is the same as getting their ears pierced?

No I don’t. I think tattooing a baby would be so wrong. For one thing, it HURTS a lot. I wouldn’t pierce either until they were of age to want it but a tattoo? No. I think it’s much different.

    Uuuummm, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Phyllis says:

NO I DO NOT!!! But to be honest I thoroughly dislike tattoos anyway, anyhow! But that’s just me and I’m in the minority among my family.

Let me think about it. Piercing is one or two really quick thrusts of a needle through a fatty portion of the skin. Then tattooing is the repeated puncturing of the skin (about a bazillion times) while injecting inks to alter the color of the body in that area.

Sure that seems okay to me. Maybe the tattoo artist can use one of those velcroed “papoos boards” that they use in the emergency to hold the baby down.

What’s the big deal. It will fade with age and when the kid gets older they will be easier to identify in a police line up. “I’m not sure but the kid was about twelve years old with a butterfly tattooed on her neck.” 🙂

Well, it depends on the tattoo. If it was a really small tattoo and the ink was not toxic to a baby, I would not see a big difference. I don’t know why anyone would want to give a kid a tiny tattoo, of course. (Maybe for ID?) For that matter, I have no plans to put holes in my daughters’ ears any time soon, either.

To silly for words. I hope there is a law against it.
