Love at first sight

Over half of us believe in love, love, love at first sight, the majority of which admit to having experienced it. Have you? If so, was the feeling mutual? And, did it result in an enduring relationship?

Actually yes…Jason and I started talking through the internet for a few years. He lived in SC and I was here in MN. Finally we met, on Valentine’s Day. And it was love at first sight. He moved up here a couple months after we actually met. And now we’ve been married for 7 1/2 years!

I am sure I believe in it, but I don’t think I’ve experienced it. Maybe someday, ha ha!

Yes, I have experienced love at first sight. He didn’t feel the same way. He just wanted to have a casual relationship. And foolishly, I did it and fell deeper and deeper in love. We messed around about 3 years and he moved to another state.

I do believe in it, but it didn’t happen to me. Sorry babe 😦 We met at a hard time so it wasn’t something I was looking for or even thinking about and I really tried to avoid him b/c I didn’t think it was appropriate to be crushing on someone after everything that just happened. But, he sucked me in anyway and we’ve been together for 15 years. Holy crap!

I do, but it didn’t happen for me either. I loved Jason as a friend for a long time, but never knew how he felt about me until I moved to Montana and got a big envelope full of love letters one day…I moved back and have been together ever since, that was 13 years ago. I have to say though, that day I came back, I saw him in a different way and fell in love right then and there.

If you ask him, he knew he’d marry me the first time he saw me.

Toby would say the same thing which makes me feel bad to answer the way I did, but I can’t make up feelings that weren’t there at first.

I believe in it for some people. I’m a helpless, hopeless romantic, so yes, I absolutely believe in it. Hasn’t happened for me, though.

Well, it has, but I don’t think chocolate chip cookies count.

No, it did not happen to me either. I liked Dan a lot at first sight, bit after 3 dates, I started to like him more and more and then, it was ka-boem…in love 🙂 He said he was having butterflies from the beginning 🙂 (always nice to know!).

You know… I’m noticing a pattern here. Dan, Jason, and I know Steve said it to me – that they knew immediately that they were in love with us. It seems like “Love at first sight” happens more for men than it does for women!

  9. Phyllis says:

I guess it can happen, though it hasn’t for me.
