Nope! Not one! Not me!
Pshhhh whatever! 😉 LOL
I guess I can only think of a few things right now. And thats about food… Nutty bars and kit kats I have to eat by taking the layers off. Also those little swiss cakes, I unroll those and eat them like that.
I have my share of quirks. Though nowadays, I am so busy that I don’t have time to be picky about details.
Let’s see. When I’m having a meal that has various things on the plate, I have to eat one thing until it’s gone before I’ll start on the next thing. Usually I eat the thing I like least first, and best last. I have a thing about clearing my plate 100% even if I really don’t want that much or even like the food.
In the morning before my coffee, speak to me at your own risk.
I hate it when my kids tug on my clothes. I don’t like having to carry something around. And I can’t stand to wear anything tight or otherwise uncomfortable (e.g., high heels).
Repetitive noises make me buggy. Even my kids are under orders to never repeat the same thing more than three times in a row.
I am a poor listener and am very easily distracted.
I get my second wind around 3pm. (Actually, I think that’s my only wind.)
I line up my personal products (like the stuff I put on my face after a shower) in a line on the counter, so I will use them in the same order each day and not forget anything. When I’m done, I clear the counter and put everything in the cupboard, because I don’t like looking at all that stuff except when I’m in the middle of using it. I really hate clutter, but some kinds of clutter are worse than other kids.
I hate, hate, hate meeting new people, talking on business calls, attending organized “social events,” dressing up, and pretty much anything else that might cause me to be looked at. I won’t wear makeup or most jewelry because it could make someone look at me.
I’m always trying to take up the least possible space, even when I don’t need to. I always wanted to be able to make myself invisible as a kid, and I think some of that has stuck.
This question popped into my head when I was eating a triangle piece of pizza… backward, from the crust in. The way I almost always eat it.
LOL, I just noticed tonight that Miss E does the same thing! (Can you tell I hardly ever buy pizza?)
Ah, pizza, I eat the cheese and sausage first, wipe off most of the sauce and then eat the crust. (the sauce bothers my stomach).
When dining, none of my food can touch each other on the plate. I don’t pour gravy or ketchup on food but pour a bit on my plate and dip the food into it.
I have to load the dishwasher a certain way and if Toby has done it, more than likely I will redo it b/c it drives me crazy!
I do the exact same thing. I actually stopped using the dishwasher when they gave Mr. Houseguest the job of loading it. I just couldn’t take it. Yesterday I opened it to put in someone else’s dish (I wash mine & my kids’ in the sink). It was the same thing all over again. Everything pointing the wrong way, etc. – I’m practically shuddering just thinking about it. Ugh!
But the funny thing is that I don’t care about how people load up the dish drainer.
Let’s begin!
I’m like Sue. I rearrange the dishwasher so I can get more in. I like it uniformed and everything has a spot. When Paul does it, he’ll just stick stuff everywhere. Like a big pot on the top shelf. I don’t say anything to him though or he’ll tell me to do it myself and I do appreciate the help.
I eat the edges around most thing first and leave the center. Examples: I eat the crust first. I eat around a Reese’s peanut butter cup. Hoho’s or ding dongs (not that I’ve eaten them in years though) I eat all the chocolate off them first. If I eat a Slim Jim or meat stick, I like to see if I can get all the insides out and have the casing for last.
I don’t put most of my clothes in the dryer. Even in the winter I’ll hang them on hangers to dry.
I’m a nut about having my car be clean. I take all garbage in with me when I get out of it. Same with my purse. I hate it messy and usually clean it out when I get home.
If I have to set my alarm, I’m so scared it’s set wrong or for AM and not PM that I check it 10 times the day before.
When I peel a cucumber, I cut off the ends and rub them circularly on the cuke. My mom said it takes the bitterness out. I know it doesn’t work but I do it anyway after years of watching my mom do it, it’s just a habit.
Joy you made me laugh when I read about the cucumbers…never heard that one before! You crazy lady 😉 LOL
LOL The cucumbers! I have always done that, not sure where I learned it. I never knew WHY people did it, but I did it! LOL
I’m the same way about the alarm. Of course that didn’t save me yesterday. The alarm was set right but the clock was wrong!
Hmmm lets see.
When I fold laundry I take in the smell of the clean laundry. Jason laughs when he watches me fold clothes. Just about every 2-3 garments I’ll hold up to my nose and take a deep breath.
I brush my teeth, a LOT! On a normal day, at home, I’ll brush them up to 4-5 times a day. If I eat something, and I’m home I have to brush my teeth. I start my day off by brushing them. Also, before I brush them, I rinse my mouth out. I was told eons ago that you should always rinse your mouth before brushing, or you’re just brushing the sugar into your teeth.
I don’t know what else, I’ll have to think more.
LOL!!! I like to smell my clothes too!!!!
I always smell what I eat before I eat it.
Jason does that!!! Drives me mad….he jokes all the time that he has to make sure there isn’t any poison in it. And of course my response to that is,”Oh, you wouldn’t smell it!” LOL
LOL!!! This conversation keeps getting funnier and funnier.
Oh, I forgot, I smell the food before I eat it as well. It’s really nice to see I’m not the only one with these quirks (my family always said I was)! LOL 😀
