We have gas (I think) but we haven’t used ours for probably 10+ years. Personally I don’t grill anyway – I’m not a fan of that type of food – but I’ll go along if that’s what’s being served at a party.

We have a gas grill, but I love the taste of something being cooked over charcoal!!

  3. mssc54 says:

We have both. I use the big gas grill for regular grilling and the charcoal (smoker) mostly for smoking meats.

  4. Laura says:

It was a trick question. Everybody knows that a WOOD CAMPFIRE is best!!

  5. Nikki says:

We have gas, and we love it! It’s convenient! I do like charcoal grills, that’s all I remember being around as a child. No one had these big, fancy, stainless steel bad boys!

  6. Joy says:

I really do prefer gas. I don’t care for the charcoal taste. It’s a bit too strong for me. Besides, we use our grill year round and charcoal just can’t cut it.

Joy, I have found that the bad taste when using charcoal usually comes from cheep lighter fluid. Or cheep charcol. Sorta like using a cheep laundry soap. 😉

  7. Sue says:

We also have a gas grill and it’s just so much easier than charcoal!

  8. Laura says:

    Steve’s response: Gas isn’t grilling… it’s a stove outside!

    • Joy says:

Well then we have a stove outside!! You know, last year I couldn’t be around the charcoal smoke. I wonder now if it would bother me since I feel so well?
