Happy Friday everyone. As you already know, it’s Bailey’s birthday today. Both Jason and I take that day off, so we’ll be together the entire day. We have golf scheduled for the morning/afternoon. I’m not sure what else we’re doing during the day. In the evening we’ll have the family over for cake and ice cream. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Saturday we have another party planned at the beach (lake) for his friends, and family is more than welcome to join us for that too! It’s a fun filled weekend! I still can’t believe I will have an 11 year old.

Did everyone have a good week? What are your plans for the weekend?

We are having a good time at the beach here in Hilton Head, SC. The weather is super hot and humid.I don’t know how anyone could work down here in this weather. I think its even hard to breathe in this crap…lol Went to the ocean today. Had fun, although we didn’t have an umbrella to sit under. Hunter was having fun until he got some water in his mouth. Then he complained of having dirt in his mouth and wanted to leave. We went back and swam in the pool then.

I think the UV index tomorrow is supposed to be at 12. I think Jason is going fishing with his Dad & brother. We are having a good vacation so far that I even forgot tomorrow is Friday. Enjoy the weekend all!

I’m pretty boring this week. Mostly just working my booty off. Today I was a little less intense, but I’m gonna pay for it because I have 3 big deliverables tomorrow. As usual, I told myself I’d work hard on it tonight, but I’m already starting to feel sleepy.

Today I got a note from my kids’ teacher that they had both misbehaved in school. I don’t know what’s up with that – they are normally shining examples of good kids. OK, maybe not “shining,” but I almost never hear about their behavior, which I assume means it’s acceptable. I was just thinking how good their behavior was becoming these days (with me). Should never have thunk that thought all the way through. Anyhoo, it seems Miss E got into it with a boy – they were “discussing” different karate styles (they have different coaches) and the teacher decided they were fighting. I wasn’t there, so I side with the teacher. And Miss A screamed on the playground – which normally should not be an offense, I feel, but Miss A told me she’d been warned and continued anyway. SO, Mom was a mean machine this evening and I hope the message sunk in. I don’t want to see another note from school, like, ever.

Speaking of “like” – Miss E has picked this up from somewhere. She, like, says “like” way too often and it, like, grates on my, like, nerves.

In other news, I heard that Miss G is scheduled to come home on Saturday, July 9. Woo hoo! Now the real fun begins. Here’s hoping that she continues to get stronger so she won’t have to be isolated from other kids for two years, which is what the doctors say she’ll need. And here’s hoping she is able to learn to do all the things happy little girls do. I got a photo of Miss G without tubes, and she is cute!

Also on Saturday, I go to my niece’s graduation party. So now it’s time for me to tell my brother what I’ve decided to do about his request for financial help with her college. I don’t know how he’ll take it. Those whom I’ve talked to so far believe it to be very generous, but it’s less than what he said he needed to fund her tuition gap. Keep in mind that this is the same brother who decided to hate me for a while after the Big Thanksgiving Blowup a couple years ago. So we’ll see how it goes. Why do I feel such trepidation about telling my brother about one of the biggest gifts I’ve ever given anyone?

Not much else going on. I guess I’d better get back to work.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!
