Lets see….. underwear, socks you know all the essentials.
Hmmmm… this is a toughie. clothes-wise, I’ve bought nearly every type of thing, from undies to a formal dress, online. Clothes and shoes are so easy to return, I don’t have a problem with not trying them on first.
Maybe something like jewelry, that you’d have to see “on” first. Or most certainly, if I were buying a new flute, or a new car, or something like that, I’d have to give it a go first. But clothes? Naah.
I don’t “need” to try anything on and most of the time I don’t. I buy SO much of my stuff online and I have pretty good luck and everything is easier for me to return rather than face to face with someone. It’s really hard for me to return things in person. BUT..if I was at the store, jeans or shoes.
I hardly ever try stuff on, and I too buy a lot online. I have regretted lots of in-store purchases despite having tried them on.
Shoes, but even then I sometimes buy shoes that does not fit well.
Almost anything, really, but mostly pants and shoes.
Also, Laura – is this your first time reading HP or are you rereading it for the absolute fun of it?
This is probably my ninth or tenth time through HP. I’ve only read the last book twice, but I always start with the first book… so each time a new book came out in the series, out came Sorcerer’s Stone, then Chamber, etc., until I reached the new one. I just saw the last movie, so I decided to read the series again. I love it.
The biggest thing for me is jeans, but I have ordered them online first b/c they were a good price, but it’s not often they fit right. I have no problem returning anything!
Shoes and sunglasses! Clothes, I usually know if they’re going to fit or not. If I’m going shopping for a a specific outfit-dress, for an occasion, I’ll try a few on.
PS… I have banned myself from Zappos.com. I spend WAY too much time over there…
