I think in my hay-day it was 62 wpm. Numbers get me though. My Mrs. says I’m a loud typist.

  2. Jenny says:

I type pretty well. I think I would say around 60 or so

  3. Joy says:

I’ve never timed myself but I never look at the keyboard while I type and I do a LOT of typing. I took a night class at the Minnetonka High school one year just because I wanted to know how to type. I’ll time myself tomorrow and come back.

    20 words an hour…on a good day

  5. SKL says:

I don’t know, really. I haven’t timed myself in decades. Times have changed – now I do almost all my writing on the keyboard – which is a lot different from 20+ years ago. Thing is, mostly I am composing while I type, so depending on what it is, it can be quick or slow. I’m gonna wildly guess that I could do about 60 per minute if I were just typing without trying to “think about it.”

  6. Ellen says:

I have no idea, but I do type very fast. I had no idea till I got comments at work her that I type like a secretary, lol. I did my typing exam when I was 17 years and it my score was pretty good and we learn to type blind.

  7. Nikki says:

Oh, I don’t know. I do look down sometimes, but I think I’m average. Never been timed before. Some words, I almost always have to fix. I almost always type “like”…”liek”….I don’t know why!

  8. Phyllis says:

    I think it’s about 60 wpm.

  9. Sue says:

I type well, but I don’t know how fast it is!
