Standards of physical beauty are ever-evolving. How has your definition of beauty changed in the past decade? Who do you think is a great beauty? Who would you put on a list of “your time’s” most beautiful? Who do you think are some of the classic beauties?

  1. Ellen says:

    Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot.

My personal favorite from your examples is Natalie Wood.

I think one of the most beautiful women in entertainment nowadays – oh heck, I can’t remember her name, but she was the Hispanic woman on Desperate Housewives.

There are probably others, but I’m terrible at recalling names and faces on demand.

Ok, I’m cracking up over the fact that Johnny Depp showed up at the beginning of page two on your link.

Beautiful women. I’d add to your list…
Diana, Princess of Wales. I always thought she was pretty, and the more confident she became, the better she got.
Queen Latifa. I love how she embraces her “largeness” and isn’t ashamed of it. Big Girls can be pretty, too!
    Sandra Bullock. No explanation necessary.

I like Sophia Loren too, She has such a strong look that sets her apart from the soft beauties of her time.

Grace Kelly, Jackie Onassis, Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor are all timeless beauties. I think Julie Andrews is beautiful. Now a days, Sanda Bullock, Gabriel Union, Kate Beckinsale, Rachel McAdams.

  6. Joy says:

Cindy Crawford. Catherine Zeta Jones. Victoria Principal. Linda Evans. Angie Harmon.

  7. Jenny says:

Julia Roberts, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Aniston, Giada De Laurentiis, Beyonce

  8. Sue says:

I think everyone has named the beauties I thought of!

  9. Laura says:

I agree with Angie Harmon. Can’t believe I missed Julie Andrews! I’m a fan of Jennifer Aniston, too.

Oh! Another one… Ellen DeGeneres. Unconventional, yes, but she’s still pretty. I think she’s another one in the Queen Latifah category: comfy in her own skin. Which adds to the beauty for me.

    • Phyllis says:

I’m glad you mentioned Jennifer Aniston, I couldn’t remember her last name at the time. But I think she’s the “real” beauty in the current times. I agree with all those already mentioned, and they’re the ones that came to my mind as well.

Really a hard pick, because I still believe the old adage that “beauty is as beauty does”. There are a lot of attractive women around, but for too many of them the beauty is only skin deep.
