The end of this one makes me cry every single time. I know it’s long but watch the last 4 minutes or so if you care to and are able. Sometimes I wish I lived back then.

Wasn’t she just a wonderful teacher? And mother.
I hate to say this, but the one thing I just hated about LHOP was the fact that there was a crying scene in every single episode. I had read the books and the one time Laura got all emotionally teary (at age 7), she was shamed for it. I guess I am the only person who didn’t like the crying scenes, though.
My stupid video player cut out right after she gave the dresses to the girls. But I was enjoying it until that happened.
I never got to see this show when I was a kid. I’m not sure why… maybe it was on when something else was on, or when we were doing things. I should probably netflix it. It seems like a fun show. A little weepy at times, yeah, but nice, nonetheless. And a nice break from all the blood blood blood that seems to populate current TV.
And I *like* being a Country Girl! I totally would have taken that little snot out.
Nellie really used to piss us off. You know if there’s an episode on, Jason and Toby can almost recite some of them. I think Josh would like this show. If you want to borrow any of the season’s, let me know. I have every show made.
LOL!
I have every single one of these and we love them. Sometimes you need a good cry and most of the times the tears were joyous ones. Besides, I had such a crush on Michael Landon. I still want to call him Little Joe.
I knew that’d make me cry! I put it off as long as I could. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Now I want to sit down and watch a marathon!
I KNOW!!! She wanted to let her “ma” know how much she loved her but she didn’t know how to write the words.
I loved this program, even at it’s sappiest! It was more like “real life” than anything around at this point in time. Like Joy I’ve always thought Michael Landon was a hunk. From the time he was Little Joe on Bonanza (which I still watch by the way), through LHOP, and the Highway to Heaven. I think it says a lot that he had the same co-star on Highway as was with him in LHOP. There wasn’t any scandals connected to him at any time, and he was highly respected. That says a lot in this day and age.
Maybe that’s why I never really got into the show… Michael Landon is before my time. WAY too old for me.
now you went and got me choked up.
LOL DM.
