I try not to. There’s just too much and and I know it’s so important but it makes me scared and depressed.

  2. mssc54 says:

    I don’t think so.

  3. Laura says:

I’ve watched sporadically. Usually it falls on a weekday, so the radio is on and everybody is doing retrospectives. The one Glenn Beck does, especially, makes me cry. It’s so haunting.

For me, it’s a bittersweet day. It’s also Josh’s Birthday, so we have festivities going on – special breakfast, a drive to school, maybe lunch with him at school, and then something special in the evening. If it’s a weekend, of course, there’s a party. So the memorial stuff is usually in the periphery.

One of these years, though, he’s going to want to know everything about it, so we will sit and watch, so he can see and learn.

  4. Jenny says:

    no probably not.

  5. Vicki says:

I probably will unless people are around. Its very emotional.

  6. Sue says:

I have watched off and on over the years. I did watch the special on NBC the other night about the Children of 9/11. And boy did I cry at times. Did anyone else see that? They interviewed kids from all walks of life and it was pretty interesting.

  7. SKL says:

No, I don’t watch TV, and I read about the event in great detail shortly after it occurred. I am not one to go over things again and again. The girls are young, so I’ll play it by ear as far as what to tell them. I do plan on attending a memorial concert, so it may come up, but I’m not going to push it. Terrorism is frankly the last thing we need to be planting in active little minds right now. Miss A is already interrogating me about exactly how she’s going to be safe flying on a plane this winter.

  8. Nikki says:

Yes, we do. Every year. Jason especially. I, sometimes have to walk away or look away. The images of the loved ones crying and hurting for their lost loves, gets me. I can’t handle seeing the look on their faces. The programs, like the one (among many) that we watched of former President Bush recalling the days events, and the events following had me glued to my seat though. We are big George Bush fans here. We love him as a person, and feel some connection to him. We both do, and can’t really explain it.

Bailey now watches it, willingly. We don’t make him. He’s curious about it, and we think it’s important for him to know what our country went through, and how it still affects a lot of people.

It really is hard to believe it’s been 10 years.
