No and I never have. Too afraid someone would find it and read all about my exciting life!

  2. Laura says:

I am really bad at it, but yes, I have. I seem to go in fits and spurts. For a while, I’ll write in it every night. and then I’ll go for a really long time – sometimes a year or more – before I go back to it. It all depends on what’s going on in my life, how much I need to vent and whether I have people to vent to, and how badly I desire writer’s cramp!

  3. Jenny says:

nope. Only when I was younger

  4. Joy says:

I don’t either. I always thought it would be cool but I was never consistent with it.

  5. Just a Mom says:

I do not have a diary or a journal. I think I tried to do one when I was about 9 or 10 and my brother found it so I stopped.

  6. mssc54 says:

Heck even when I was seeing a shrink I lied to him just to make sure there were no permanent records of my life.

    • Phyllis says:

I think we could be related!

I used to write out feelings about situations that were bad as a way of getting it all out, and after doing that burn the papers!!! Now I just hit the delete button on the computer. Life is so much simpler now, since I can type faster than I write and the delete button doesn’t smoke up the house!!

I’m with Mssc54 on this one; I’m not sure all of my private thoughts being recorded for posterity would be a good thing…

I do, however, keep a once a year journal detailing the family’s activities. It’s always the week of Christmas. A reflective look back at the year 🙂

  8. SKL says:

I used to when I was a teen, up until I was maybe 21. I really loved my journal, but I didn’t dare write anything really, really personal. So as a young adult, my life started to get too complicated to be written down and potentially read by someone else, and I just stopped.

I think my comments on this blog are about as close as I’ve come to writing a journal in recent years, LOL.

  9. Nikki says:

No. I never have, and for good reasons! If I was angry, I would write it all down and then rip it up and throw it away. I learned that at young age. It helped most of the time-just getting it out of my head.
