What worries you most?

A new survey shows that women worry more than men about losing their looks as they get older, while men worry about the quality of their sex lives. What worries you most about aging?

I’m most concerned that I will have to call a doctor after four hours of… ummm never mind.

In my current state of mind, every damn thing. Lately, I seem to worry about everything, and I do.not.like it.

I really don’t worry about ageing, except that I hope I don’t age too fast to do right by my kids.

OK, after thinking a bit, I really want my mind to stay sharp, and my body to at least obey me (even if the obedience is slow and with groans and whines). I’d like to be able to see well enough to read. But I don’t exactly “worry” about these things. I’m more of a live-in-the-moment person. I will do what I can today but not worry about tomorrow.

Haha men would be more worried about their sex life.

I really don’t worry about aging. I am actually enjoying getting older.

I don’t think I’d say I worry about my looks but I do think about how things are so different now than they were just 10 years ago. That many years ago I lost 50 pounds in 5 months. Man, it’s sure coming off harder this time. I’ve been trying to lose since April and am just barely reaching the -30 marker. My body has really changed how it works and that’s kind of scary.

I’d really hate to lose my mind. NO JOKES!!!! I just found out last week that one of my most favorite teachers that I used to work with got put into a home for the “advanced stages of Alzheimer’s” and it breaks my heart. I was told she can’t even talk anymore. I can’t even imagine that.

If I found the fountain of youth, I’d take a quick little dip in it.

I most worry about getting sick. Cancer, Alzheimer’s, etc. Dying in general really scares me.

  8. Laura says:

I have to agree with you guys… I don’t so much fear dying, but losing my mind would be awful. Although, I suppose, after a point, you might not be aware of it. But it’s just sad when that happens. I’d rather die sharp and a little bit younger (which, in my family, would be in the 80’s or early 90’s), than hang on and be unaware of my surroundings.
