Question of the day

I would prefer paper and usually take that but every now and then I’ll take both. I hate the way plastic slides around in the trunk. Paper seems to stay put.
plastic
I use to always get paper but in the past few years I don’t even bother asking anymore so I get plastic.
Cloth. If I forget to bring my bags, then plastic. I need handles that won’t break when I’m carrying 6 bags of heavy groceries in from the car all at the same time.
I found this browsing around Pinterest one day. I thought it was an excellent idea, although I have yet to go buy one for myself. It sure would come in handy, though. http://www.infmetry.com/home-decor/kitchen/one-trip-grip-grocery-bag-holder
I’ve seen those and they’re pretty cool.
Plastic!I reuse those bags and I need handles too.Hey,come to think of it I never see paper bags where I shop any more and they never ask.
I really prefer cloth, too, and keep a bunch of them in my truck. When I forget, and I’m at the grocery store, I’ll get paper, because not only will they stand square in the back of the truck, I can use them for paper recycling. Newspapers fit nicely, and other stuff stacks right in. And since it’s on me to take all recycling to the center myself, I need all the help I can get (we don’t have curbside pickup. The joys of rural living…) I end up with plastic, which is the bane of my existence, when I go to the Walmart Grocery. Can somebody please tell me the logic behind the ‘packing system’ that those checkers have? Is there some law that states, “no more than three items per bag”? I come home with ten bags for fifteen items. It’s insane.
I have multiple reusable bags that I always intend to bring with me, but I always forget so I get plastic. Sometimes paper, but mostly plastic and I reuse them in our garbage cans.
I try really hard to remember my reusable grocery bags, but for some reason I just can’t! I always get plastic, no way would I ever use paper. The thought sends shivers down my spine.
I also reuse the plastic bags for our garbage cans.
