It’s Friday! 🙂 We had a nice week here, if you ask me! We got some much-needed rain and Fall is in the air…again! We have a pretty busy weekend. Correction, Bailey has a busy weekend! He has a birthday party to go to tonight. While he’s out having a great ol’ time, Jason and I will do our usual Friday night stuff-catch up on TV! I know, we live outrageous lives! Saturday evening, we’re taking Bailey and some of his friends to a flash-light corn maze. That should be fun! Sunday, we have our normal baseball. These will be our last two games of the season. Next weekend, we’ll be in Duluth and I am SO excited. We need to get away, just the 3 of us.

So, how was your week? Any fun weekend plans?

That’s a really cute picture! I feel like I’ve been so lazy this week with the whole working out with Joy & my mom, Vicki. You guys are doing great, and i can tell the difference that its making, even if the scale doesn’t show it!

This week just kinda dragged along. Seemed to go by super slow. Saturday my mom is watching Hunter overnight and we are going out with some friends. We are eating supper in Maple Grove at Biaggi’s Italian Restaurant and coming back to Cokato and playing games and gonna eat some yummy fondue stuff!

We need to buy some pumpkins yet! That time is getting closer…..Have a good weekend. Its gonna get chilllllllllyyyyy

My week started off very bumpy with ongoing family garbage. I can’t wait for this weekend! I am taking my daughter and another girl from my scout troop to Horse Camp. We leave Friday afternoon and won’t be back until late Sunday. NO phones, computers, ipods, no contact with the rest of the world for the entire weekend! The girls are doing Level 2 of 4 at this camp. This weekend they get to learn how to saddle a horse and they get to trot this time. The girls are so excited. I will be spending the weekend taking tons of pictures and doing GS homework. I have to take an Outdoor Camping class as part of my leadership training and I have a packet of reading to take care of before my classroom part next week so hopefully I can squeeze that in this weekened.

I have felt awfully lazy this week also! I have involuntary time off tomorrow, so my goal is to get the house cleaned and the laundry done AND put away! LOL! I am really good about getting laundry done, but when it comes to putting it away forget it. Saturday we have bowling, but I really wish we were going with Nikki to the corn maze. There are only 6 teams this year for bowling and I’m just not that thrilled about it. I could have skipped this year, but don’t tell Toby! That’s all the more excitement we have.

Man – I am really tired for some reason! It might be the fact that I ate rice for both lunch and dinner. Or the fact that I’m coming down with some sinus thing. The rainy weather isn’t helping matters.

Not much to report. I got some work done this week and cleared up some emails, so that was good. Of course the beginning of the week was crazy with birthday stuff, but now we’re trying to get back to normal. Somehow it is very hard to make the girls’ bedtime happen when it’s supposed to. There is just so much to do. I really need to pick them up from school earlier.

I think I’m going to try to turn in early tonight. I just feel weird. Maybe I will think of something more interesting to say tomorrow.

What’s up with all of us?! We’re all tired and lazy!!! It took everything I had in me to run yesterday evening. AND I only went because I told one other baseball mom I would run with her. She’s been teaching aerobics, and running techniques since college (she’s 45 now). She gave me some great tips! I ran for 35 minutes straight without feeling winded. I’m gaining my confidence about this 5k!

Well, I hope everyone finds the energy they need. I, for one, will be dropping Bailey off at this birthday party (5-9) and coming home to hold down my couch!

I would LOVE to hear some of those tips!! I’m not a runner, or a jogger for that matter, LOL I can’t seem to breathe right when I do try to jog. Last weekend we went out and walked 2 miles and I started off jogging and got a horrible side ache that lasted probably a mile and half! It hurt so bad.

My problem was I was working TOO hard. Running should be relaxing if done right. My arms were too tense, and I wasn’t placing my feet on the ground right. I had to get over the fact that I looked weird, but I just let loose. Relax your shoulders completely, and let your hands and arms relax. But keep your core (stomach) tightened) I felt like a total goober running, but I made it 35 minutes without needing to stop. The breathing has also been a big problem for me. You’re supposed to breathe in your nose and out your mouth. Well, I can’t breathe through my nose. So, that’ll always be a problem for me. But by doing all these different things (mainly just relaxing every part of your body and letting your hips do the work), I never did breathe very hard. She also told me when I let a deep breath out, don’t let it just come out-push it out.

        • Jason says:

I have found that I have an easier time breathing when I am running if I cannot hear myself. Example, when I am listening to my mp3 player. I think sometimes people hear themselves breathing harder and they naturally breathe faster thinking they need the extra oxygen. I also find it easier when I keep my hands loose as well. I am sure it looks funny to other people but oh well….

          • Sue says:

I’m sure I look ridiculous running! It’s all about staying relaxed and thinking positive. Your mind can be a huge road block.
