Not really. I mean, supposedly I’m related to John Paul Jones, but I can’t think of anyone now living whom you’d recognize if I told you I knew them.

  2. Jenny says:

    man, I wish but nope!

  3. Laura says:

Ok. Let me see if I can get this straight.

My paternal Grandmother’s sister had a daughter, who married John Voigt. They got divorced. I’m not sure if the daughter is/was Angelina’s mother, or if Voigt remarried and then had Angelina. If Mike is lurking, he can maybe sign in and correct me on this.

Also, it is rumored that one of my Grandmother’s brothers (the same grandma), dated Margaret Mitchell, author of Gone with the Wind.

Finally, my mom’s cousin went to high school with Harrison Ford. THAT’S the connection that I wish had stuck.

    So, not related, but “touched”.

    • Laura says:

Ok, so Mike says that he thinks that my grandmother’s niece WAS Angie’s mother, but we’re having difficulty corroborating it. It’s not like she and Brad are going to start bringing the brood to family reunions if we prove it, though.

Also, one other connection… my mom’s uncle went to school with Walt Disney. Family lore says that they were pretty good buddies (her uncle, also named Wally, was quite the accomplished artist in his own right) and Walt asked Wally to come to Fl with him. Our uncle joined the military instead.

I am an acquaintence of Tim Scott (R SC) he actually referred some work to me last week. Jake Tapper, Senior White House Correspondent for ABC News. He is writing a book and has some “good stuff” in it about Sgt. Buddy James Hughie (our son-in-law who was KIA in Afghanistan.
    .
I also have a few faux fameous friends: Bill Murray and a couple of others I can’t think of right now,

  5. Nikki says:

Pat Garret, the one that “supposedly” shot Billy the Kid. We have our doubts though. 😉 I always loved listening to my grandma read all the books she had. And looking at pictures of him. Now, with all the TV shows, it’s fun to watch them when they focus on him, and Billy the Kid.
