  1. Joy says:

Back in the day we opened them up with the kids late Christmas Eve when we got home from the Erickson’s. It was the only time we had alone. My family came for the day on Christmas. Now we do it with the kids when they get here on Christmas Day.

  2. Jenny says:

We will let Hunter open his gifts on Christmas morning

  3. SKL says:

Well, Santa comes around midnight, so Christmas Eve wouldn’t work here. Christmas morning it is! Then we open more presents at the grandparents’ on Christmas afternoon.

  4. Sue says:

We open all the presents (from us and Santa) Christmas morning. Funny you should ask b/c this was always a big deal at my house growing up! My mom’s family opened theirs Christmas Eve, but my dad had to wait until Christmas morning for all of them so every year my parents argued about it! We always opened them Christmas morning 🙂

  5. Vicki says:

We open ours Christmas eve night.

  6. mssc54 says:

We open one gift from each other on Christmas. Christmas morning is the Big Event.

  7. Nikki says:

I grew up opening one gift Christmas Eve, and then the rest in the morning. But we never went anywhere that day. We always did the big family thing Christmas Eve. Since we’re gone most of Christmas Day now, Bailey opens his gifts from us Christmas Eve. He gets his gifts and stocking from Santa in the morning.

Our baby girls birthday is tomorrow. I *think* she’s 6. I got her a big knuckle bone! How gross is that?? LOL

  8. Joseph says:

Probably the day after Christmas (Boxing day here), before we go to my dad’s gathering. That’s the only alone time we may have as immediate family..

  9. Laura says:

We’ve always done Christmas Day, because there are never any gifts under there until then!! Santa comes during the night, so that’s when all the presents arrive.
