Question of the day

When I was about six or so, I snuck out of my room to see if I could catch Santa. I heard his very distinct “HO HO HO”, and fleet-footed it into my big brother’s room (Jim), and hid in his bed. I did NOT want to get busted by Santa, ’cause if that happened? Coal city!!
My mom’s family lives in K.C., MO so when we were in elementary school we would go there for Christmas and stay for the week during break. I always loved visiting them no matter what time of year it was.
I remember being in my grandma and grandpa’s old house and we heard Santa’s bells so we went to look out the door and when we got back in, our presents were sitting on the floor behind us. For years and years I wondered why/how the presents were ICE cold.
That old house holds most of my happiest memories.
That’s awesome.
I don’t have a specific year that I remember more than the rest. But I do remember that every year, I always got more than I expected for Christmas. It was always really joyful and full of love.
I don’t have a specific favorite year, not from my childhood. When Bailey was little. 3, 4, 5 years old…that was fun. That’s not saying, it’s not fun now. It’s just different. I miss that age.
