2011 in review

I got this from WordPress today and wanted to share it with you. These numbers are awesome.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

London Olympic Stadium holds 80,000 people. This blog was viewed about 330,000 times in 2011. If it were competing at London Olympic Stadium, it would take about 4 sold-out events for that many people to see it.

Click here to see the complete report.

Thanks to all of you who make this blog what it is.

woohoo I made the list!! Number 2 with the most comments! YES 🙂 That’s kinda surprising

They’ve never done this before. It’s kind of cool. So now you have to keep the “talking” up so you hold your spot or beat out SKL for the top spot next year. On the other hand, it’s odd that they do this. They have to go “under the hood” and that’s kind of odd to me that they get in to our stuff.

I thought it was interesting that the post that got the most visits was a Maxine post that currently only has four comments. That’s just weird, to me. I wonder if that was a day that we showed up on the WordPress homepage, or on somebody’s Tumblr or Stumbleupon? Because we certainly did have days and posts that got more comments than that!

    • Sue says:

I thought the same thing Laura, but people must like those Maxine ones and just look but don’t comment. I just can’t believe how many hits we had!

  4. Nikki says:

Well, that’s pretty dang cool! And the busiest day was my birthday! 🙂 I’m sure that is just a coincidence, but still cool.

  5. SKL says:

Well! I am glad to see I’m doing my part! Jenny, are you saying I never shut up???

    • Joy says:

We miss you. I hope you’re having fun. LOL!! That was a fun “report” wasn’t it. Jenny actually said “how many words are typed.” Hurry home.
