Question of the day

This is pretty complicated and it took me DECADES to figure this out. So pay close attention.
I used to stay up and party, kiss my wife, tell her how much I love her and how much I am looking forward to a new year with her.
But then I figured out that no matter what time I went to bed; no matter what (or if I drank or smoked); no matter what I said the next year was going to come anyway. AND it came at the same time too!!
So having figured all that out, I give the Mrs. a kiss, say happy new year and hit the sack about the regular time. Yeh, I’m a party animal. 🙂
sounds perfect to me!
Party animals here too..We do nothing that we don’t do any other night.
speak for yourself im on dealchicken i love that site..maybe joy should do a post about it sometime….its so easy to use i loooove it
We are currently at home watching the news. I think we are gonna watch Hangover 2. Man, we are some crazy people around here!! Party animals
well no movie for us. DVD doesn’t want to play in the tv!! Darn it, Early night I guess.
Toby got it for Christmas Jenny if you want to watch it. It was pretty good, but I liked the first one better.
We’re pretty wild and crazy over here too! We were down at Toby and Sue’s for a little while and had some wine. Now Wii bowling like any other night. Paul and I have never gone out for New Years. We’ve always spent it home with the kids and left the drinking and acting crazy to others.
Not that we don’t act crazy now and then though 😉
Josh is trying to stay up until Midnight tonight, so this is all new for me. Usually, we just kinda hang out until midnight. We used to watch the big Countdown from Chicago, when we lived there, but here in IA, they don’t have any doings, that I’ve found, so we just watch the clock, wish each other Happy New Year, and go to bed.
When our kids were young we used to go set all the clocks ahead so when the ball dropped in NYC, we celebrated that and they thought it was midnight.
Steve’s parents used to do that for his uncle (who is mentally disabled). Now, they don’t bother, since he falls asleep around 9. I thought of doing it for Josh, but I’m a little clock-heavy around here. I have 6 in my kitchen/living room, not counting my watch, cellphone and computer!! It’d take me half the day to set and reset clocks! I’m hoping he sleeps LATE tomorrow!
The last couple of years the family has come to my house. We eat, play games, watch a movie, eat some more and try to make it til midnight! LOL! We did this year 🙂
We watch movies, and try to catch some of the Dick Clark NYE show. Bailey was happy we were able to catch LMFAO perform, okay we all were. They’re so fun to watch. We have our Sparkling grape juice, toasted each other as the ball dropped, kissed one another and hit the sack.
