Question of the day

No, although I’m afraid of blindness, which is a kind of dark, isn’t it? When I was little, though, I was terrified of the dark – I thought there were wolves at the dark end of my bed…
Nope. And nope.
I’m not “really” now but I’ll admit that “if” I have to go out in the yard at night, I get nervous. Not scared but nervous. I don’t get scared in the house and I need it black to sleep.
I was terrified of the dark as a child but I was also afraid of nightlights because they made “shadows” come alive and I wouldn’t close my eyes. I liked to have the hall or bathroom light on when I was a kid. I I thought like Ilana that things came alive in my room at night. Then you get so scared that you’re afraid to move. That wasn’t that much fun.
Not now, but I was as a child.
not now, but i’m sure when I was little I was
I am not afraid of the dark now but as a kid I was. We used to leave the hall light on. I used to drive my mom crazy because my bedroom door had to be cracked open just the right way for me to go to sleep. Not too much light in but it had to be dark enough to sleep.
No, not now, and not when I was a child, except for a short phase when I was sure there were monsters in my closet. I actually really like the dark. I have poems written when I was 15 about how much I loved the dark.
I was when I was little, and I was never allowed a night light. Now, it depends on where I am. It’s not very often I’m home at night alone, but when I am I have a lot of lights on!
