In my own life, no, I would not like to go back. Even though my mind and body are not at their peak, as a mom, this is the best it’s been so far. Going forward? I don’t know, I think I’ll just stay put and see what life brings me.
I’ve always been attracted to the Medieval Era (until I remember the lack of plumbing), probably because we’ve romanticized it so much, with our stories of Robin Hood, and knights and kings and queens, and our Ren Faires, but I think that’s where I might go.
I’ve also thought about going back and visiting the Founding Fathers… putting a few bugs in their ears to clarify a few lines in a certain document… but then I think, “wow. how much would that screw up my present-day?” It’s an interesting mental exercise, though.
I don’t know that I’d want to travel into the future. Right now, it doesn’t look all that bright.
Definitely back to Medieval times. I would have to go back as a wealthy person because poor people during those times didn’t have much. I wouldn’t want to stay more than a few weeks. I would definitely want to come back. I have a lot of books, decorative things, well, all sorts of stuff about Medieval England. Actually, for Christmas I got a book called, “The Time Traveler’s Guide to Medieval England”. It’s excellent. I would also want to go after the Black Plague. It is incredible how many people died from it.
I wouldn’t want to go back as far as you guys. I think I’d like to be either the early 1900’s or maybe the 30’s. I loved the fun of the dancing and the clothes. But I’d also like to give living in the times right on the edge of electricity, running water and telephones a try. I also wouldn’t want to stay there. A week would be good.
I’ve always wanted to see the 70’s in person! But I also would love to be around in the 50’s. I loved the girls’ dresses. I have no interest in going back any later than that. I toss around the “wanting” to see the future. I am curious, but I do want to live it without knowing before hand.
You mean in my own life, or in history?

I wouldn’t want to go into the future either. I have NO interest in knowing that.
