Sheriff Joe Arpaio has come forward with the news that, for the last six months, his Cold Case Investigative Team has been researching the validity of the long-form birth certificate released by the Obama Administration last year.
My question is not about Arpaio. Depending upon what story you read, he is either a great investigator or a complete idiot. My question is about President Obama. Let’s play “What If?” for a minute. I do this all the time with Josh, so I’m an expert at it…
What if the information that Arpaio has uncovered is absolutely true? What if he has discovered incontrovertible proof that the long-form certificate is a fake, that it’s full of “layers”, and totally fabricated online? What if it comes out that President Obama was born outside the borders of the United States of America, and was never made an American Citizen, as some allege? What if?
Does that mean that he is immediately removed from office? After all, the Constitution says that, “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President…”
So, based on that passage, if he was not born in this country, he is not eligible to be President. But he is. So what now?
And finally, do you think that this brouhaha should be enough to spur a national law – possibly a Constitutional Amendment – that requires that Presidential Candidates provide proof of their birth? After all, in this age of high-technology, it should be easy enough to provide.

well- what if- yes he would be impeached, if not tried for treason and probably numerous other crimes.
But how about this- “what if” – what if this is the same evidence of “layers” that has already been debunked- including by Fox. What if this is a continuation of a search that fox, the heritage foundation and many others have spent countless dollars and hours investigating- and given up on as baseless. And what if a not inconsequential number of americans continue to believe the lies- out of fear, hate, racism? What should the punishment be for darling Joe- who offered no incontreverible proof- and indeed all he could say was that “he could not in good faith say there wasn’t a possibility it was faked”.
I read an article today about an interview with the former Letter Carrier for the Ayers.
Seems Mrs. Ayers was quite proud of their family helping out a foreign black student. Guess who.
Boy. I don’t know. On one hand I was going to say that yes, “IF” it came to light that he wasn’t born here he should still serve his term because he’s already there.
BUT….unless he didn’t know, wouldn’t that have been cheating? Running for office knowing he wasn’t American born.

The way I was taught, you are an American-born citizen if either of your birth parents is one, regardless of where you were physically born. I think his mom was a citizen. So to me, the “birther” argument never appealed. Of course, I could have been educated inaccurately. I guess I’d think it depended on the law of the US state of which his mom was a citizen. Assuming she didn’t give up citizenship before Obama was born. But yeah, if he’s ineligible, he would need to go immediately. I assume his VP would then take over until the election. It wouldn’t be the first time that happened.
That said, there are definitely some hidden truths about him. Isn’t it odd that nearly all of his close family died young, that practically nobody who was around when he was born is still alive? Even his sister is never heard of/from. I heard that when he attended US university, he registered as a foreign student. I mean, the list goes on and on. Nothing straightforward about this guy. I only hope we find out what he’s hiding during my lifetime.
As for making a US law – yeah, I don’t see why a birth certificate should not be required since birth status is very relevant to qualification. My kids willnever be eligible to run for president (unless the law changes), yet I’ve had to come up with their birth certificates to qualify them for much more mundane stuff than presidential candidacy. I don’t see how anyone in this day and age can say it’s burdensome to ask for a birth certificate. They are awfully easy to acquire if you are actually legit.
I learned it the same way. If one parent is an American citizen, then the child is automatically a citizen. However,, I don’t see why he couldn’t/shouldn’t show a birth certificate.

I think he should be removed from his position immediately if it were be proved to be true. I would put money on it, that he knows where he was born. So, to me that is lying and going against what he swore to uphold. The Constitution of the Unites States. He’s always been really sketchy, and I have never trusted him. Just like SKL said, nothing is straight forward.
