Oh, my friends. I HAD to share this with you.
You all are familiar, I’m sure, with the famous “Nigerian Scam” that went through email a couple of years ago, and, in fact, still exists today.
If you don’t, a refresher is in order: Some “company” contacts you through email, stating that they have, in their possession, so many millions of dollars that belong to you, and all you have to do is send several thousand to cover the fees of processing and getting the money released from the Nigerian authorities. Seems pretty silly that anyone would respond to such idiocy, but many people have been duped out of a lot of money by it.
Well Big Brother Mike turned me on to a website that documents the antics of “BaitScammers” – people who scam the scammers. I’ve chosen to share this one with you, because it’s so bloody hilarious. These BaitScammers actually turned the tables on the Nefarious Nigerian. I’ll warn you… it’s long. I’m on page FOUR. It’s amazing how long they strung this guy along. But it’s hilarious. Especially if you’re reading it out loud to someone else, and you both appreciate the absurdity of the whole thing.
I hope you enjoy it.
Well, I don’t know what’s worse – those folks wasting all that time going back and forth or me taking the time to read all of it! Some of it was very funny. You would think a scammer would have a better sense of when he’s being scammed. But I’m sure some of it is the language barrier. Also, isn’t it funny that they think folks just have that kind of money sitting around? I mean, I know they think the industrialized countries are rich, but . . ..
Holy crap! That was long. I don’t have the patience for it.
