I have to look this stuff up for my kids. So far they have not seen Olympics. I want them to see the best of the gymastics. That’s really the only part I enjoy watching in the summer games. (In winter, I like the figure skating mainly.) Of course our schedule is not conducive to watching anything, but if I plan it out we should be able to catch a little of this and that.
Volley ball
I love the Olympics. I still say it should be in the every 4 year format. I favor Gymnastics but I have a feeling I will be watching a lot if the Track & Field since my youngest is into that now.
I guess I should like them. But honestly, I don’t watch too much of it. I wouldn’t say, I don’t like them, we just don’t make it a point to watch much.
We love them. I look really forward to them. I really like everything but if I had to pick my favorites I’d say the gymnastics and the swimming/diving. I do really like the volleyball too. I have to admit I’m looking forward to the women’s basketball too with our Minnesotan Lindsay Whalen in them.
I really can’t pick a favorite but I’m looking forward to a few weeks without reruns!
I love the Olympics. I’ll sit and watch the Opening Ceremonies and alternately be amazed or appalled at the show. My favorite Summer Sports are Equestrian, Gymnastics, Archery and Swimming. I suspect I’ll only get to see the Gymnastics and a little of the Swimming, since we don’t have cable, and are at the mercy of whatever they decide to show us. But if I can help it, I’ll be glued to the TV every night, watching. I hope I can get Josh into it like I was when I was a kid. I remember sitting there with my parents watching.
We don’t have a “home team” this year… Last time, the entire state of Iowa was riding Cloud 9, thanks to Gymnast Shawn Johnson, but she retired this year due to a persistent knee injury.
I want to watch the swimming and running. Can’t wait to see LOLO!!
