I don’t know if you’d call it an “heirloom” just yet, because it was just put together a couple of years ago, but I have a binder full of stories that my aunts and uncles wrote down for me. A bunch of the stories from when they were growing up, these are stories that they pull out at almost every family get-together. Well, the siblings are getting old. Some have already died, and I’m so very glad I got those stories before they went. I have three books full, and I absolutely treasure them.
No, not really.
I have 2 horse (mom and baby) statues made of walnut given to me from my grandma. They were her grandpa’s so they are pretty old. My mom has Hummels given to her from her mom, and I hope I get them. I better!
My grandma has lot of old jewelry, that I hope to have some of, someday.
I have a few. I have my paternal-great grandmother’s silver setting. I have an engraved locket from my mom which goes back to Denmark with my great-great grandmother. I also have my mom’s family bible. My favorite is a fairly new piece, my mom’s ring that my dad made for her when I was born. I wear it every day and when the time comes it will go to my oldest daughter and then onto her daughter.
