My basement is icky.
I don’t have a garage or an attic. I had to rent a storage shed done the street and so far it is nice and neat.
Depends who you ask. The raccoons, skunks, squirrels and mice think my basement is pretty darn awesome.
OK, I think we got rid of most of those folks, though I’m not really sure.
My basement was “semi-finished” when we moved in. It’s not like a nice living space, but they walled off a couple of “rooms” and put in a drop ceiling and carpet. One room is done up like a bedroom and we sometimes have guests sleep there. The furnace room is piled up with crap, because whenever we have people over who might see the basement, all the miscellaneous boxes etc. get shoved in there, along with some merchandise and displays from defunct mini-businesses and other junk. Can’t wait to clean that stuff out!
We have a pool table and a ping-pong table, many cabinets and bookcases, an old TV, couch, computer table, and other such things. The cabinets are full of “samples” from a handicraft business that we don’t pursue any more, and the shelves are full of books – mostly kids’ books that I collected over decades.
Mine is more icky than Joy’s!
Not the old part.
Ours is finished, and very nice. Like an apartment, really. It doesn’t have that “basement” feel to it. All that’s missing in the kitchen is a sink. Even has a fireplace. My mom lives there, and I’m jealous!!! lol
We’ve got a mostly finished basement. There’s a guest room down there, and a full bathroom, which is mine. There are also two full finished rooms, one has my old PC in a corner of it that we set up as an “office” space, and the other is mostly a rec/play room for Josh; it’s got the TV/DVD player in there, the Wii, and most of his toys. My treadmill is also in there.
The last room is an unfinished, bare-walled, concrete floored storage/utility room. The furnace is in there with the water heater and water softener setup. We’ve also got these huge shelves in there that are completely full – my ongoing project is getting those cleared out, because there is SO MUCH pack-rat stuff on them. Literally, boxes of clothes that Josh wore when he was a newborn, and toys left over from his infant and toddler years, as well as stuff that Steve has “collected” (two large boxes full of baseball caps. Really? a “collection”?? They’re overflow from his dad’s years in business – promo hats from business conferences!!). I’ve made a big dent in it, but there is still a long way to go.
JOy,the picture, who’s basement is that?It looks like Grandma and Grandpa Frooms but yet not.
My basement sort of half finished, its not nice, its really just were we put storage.I HATE basements unless they are nice finished ones.
I guess it Micheal’s place now.opps.
I wondered if you’d notice that Karen but no, it’s not. I just googled “basements” and this was one of the pics. I thought the same thing. It’s exactly like it.
wow thats really weird!
